Well in truth nothing went black except Hermione’s heart just wanted her babies and her best friends back but that was not going to happen tonight maybe she should owl Ginny and tell her what happened. No that would be stupid she can’t make Ginny choose sides in her and Ron’s arguments that would be like Ginny asking Hermione to pick a side in her and Harry’s arguments it’s just not going to happen. Hermione did the best thing she could think of she grabbed the box of old letters and a pint of chocolate chip ice cream and sat on her love seat to read for a while, this is all she had left of her and Draco’s relationship before the twins. Hermione grabbed the first letter she had ever got from Draco it was the summer before 4th year and in it Draco had been quite sweet of course she never lead on that she knew about this part of him that would be crazy for her to do. But looking back at the letter she remembered the day it had come to her.

&FLASHBACK&

Hermione was at home for the summer until she was to meet up with Harry and the Weasley’s for the quidittch world cup. It was a rather warm day so Hermione being home in her comfort zone decided that short shorts and a nice baby blue tank top would do well she went on a walk to clear her mind. She wasn’t watching where she was going for she had grown up in her town and thought she knew it better than her own house for the numerous days she had spent outside whenever she came home from school. Summer was her favorite time of the year because she didn’t have to pretend she was something she wasn’t or that she didn’t want to be. Sure she loved learning, but summers where when she could sleep till noon and not feel guilty and her parents let her they had to work any way so why wake up just to be left home alone anyway? Sure she had Crookshanks her orange fur ball of a cat and her book but that was it no real friends anywhere except Ron, Harry, and of course Ginny. This particular day she went to her favorite ice cream shop and bought a nice large ice cream cone when she heard that voice the one she hated more than anything, or that’s what she told everyone but in her own reality and late at night he was what kept her awake not letting her sleep till she remembered how mean he had been in second year.

“Granger? What are you doing in my town? And what are you wearing?” How could she forget she lived in the same town as him, well not really he lived in Malfoy Manor just outside town but still it was too close for comfort?

“Malfoy, as I have told you before I live here and what do you mean what am I wearing? It’s summer time for shorts and tanks… or not I see you still wear your school uniform.” Why oh why where his eyes so irresistible? Hermione wondered to herself.

“How can you live in this town? And you call those shorts? I’m out with my farther so school uniform it is…”

“I see, we’ll have a good day and please don’t kill a Muggle it would be greatly appreciated.”

“Umm, yah sure have a good day Granger. I guess this probably won’t be the only time we run into each other so just remember shorts are meant to cover you not show half you off. It is a good look for you, and no book good job.” Hermione knew better than to get mad at him she didn’t want her summer ruined and that night well she was writing to Ron and Harry an owl flew into her room. It had a letter and it was the nicest and yet meanest thing anyone had ever done to her. Malfoy.

&Flash Forward&

Hermione was laughing at that particular memories and how mad she had been to see him that day especially in her short shorts that he would never let go but he made sure never to bring it up in front of anyone but Ginny. Ginny was shocked to say the least that her goody-two-shoes wore short shorts but when she saw the pictures of that summer she understood. The next year the bulling she got from Malfoy was less frequent and not as mean it felt good to know that she had something to hold against him. She never had to use it and it made her happy to know that he knew her boundaries when at school, but now they were grown did she still have those same boundaries? She really needed to find herself once again before she went crazy thinking of the what ifs. She was going to start today, maybe Draco would keep the kids for a week well she went to see her mum and dad in that town that held so many of her memories both good and bad.
