"Now I'm out here looking like revenge Feelin' like a ten, the best I ever been And yeah, I know how bad it must hurt to see me like this, but it gets worse (wait a minute) Now you're out here looking like regret Ain't too proud to beg, second chance you'll never get And yeah, I know how bad it must hurt to see me like this but it gets worse (wait a minute)Now payback is the baddest And baby, I'm the baddest You messin' with a savage
Can't have this, can't have this (ah)
And it'd be nice of me to take it easy on ya, but nah! Baby, I'm-""You forgot about me. Again."
Ashlyn or Ash as she preferred to be called sighed as she looked up from putting the final details on a giant vase she had made for the new Egyptian exhibit for the museum her father worked at. "I didn't forget." She said with a sigh.
Nora, Ash's eleven year old younger sister only shook her head as she walked past the dining room table. "Dad said to Finnish packing when your done!" Nora yelled from the top of the stairs.
Ash sighed "I know." She said all ready annoyed with her sister.
She sighed as she put down a paint brush for a moment, then picked up her phone and turned up the volume. 'Sorry not sorry' by Demi Lovato still played. Ash then picked up the small detail brush, dipped it into black paint and finished the outline of the eye of Horrus, which was a symbol of protection for the ancient Egyptians. She switched brushes and then filled in the outline on the vase. "Done." She said quietly to her self. Ash stained at the vase in front of her. She could t help but congratulate her self as to her it was that best one she had painted so far. The vase was tall, painted black, with several different hieroglyphics painted on, and of corse the eye of Horrus on the front. After checking the vase over one more time she looked over at the three clay shanti figurines but the stood up, picked up her phone, then headed up the stairs to Finnish packing for a trip she was going on.
The trip was to Cairo, Egypt which was Home to the Giza pyramids, and Ash's favorite: the valley of the Kong's where many pharaohs of Egypt wore laid to rest. It was going to be a long trip as she was from Houston Texas so the flight there would be slightly long. To say Ash was excited would be an understatement. She couldn't wait to step off the plane and head to the Valley of the King's.
Ash picked up her bag from the ground and set it on her bed. She had packed for a week with the exception of a few other days just Incase something happened.
"Your going to bring me back a sovinier right?"
Ash froze for a second before sighing and turning her head slightly to see Nora's existed eyes gleaming back at her. She couldn't help but smile at her sisters excitement even if she wasn't the one going to Egypt. "Yes I already told you I would." She said
"Can it be like one of those clay figurines thing-y's you made?" Nora asked
Ash nodded. "Their called Shanti's but yes I'll bring you back one."
Nora smiled "yes!" She said excitedly then bounced back into her room and closed her door.
When it came to certain things Nora tended to act much younger then she Acutely was but Ash could only guess it was just a faze or a 'inner kid' thing. Ash was t to concerned as Nora acted like this all the time.
Ash starred out her window. She knew it was going to be a good trip.
———————————————————"Remberrf your phone?"
"Yes."
"Do you Remember your anxiety meds?"
"Yes dad." Ash said in a whine like voice. She didn't like being asked a thousand questions a minute but she knew her step-dad meant well.
Ash waved as she picked up her duffel bag and began to pull behind her a small suitcase on wheels. She followed a small group of kids from her class into the tunnel that lead to the plane and she sighed a little bit as she ended up getting stuck behind Jack, the high school junior Jock. Ash wasn't a fan of jack as he was often seen messing around and goofing off. Ash was more of a tomboy when it came to doing school work and studying. Sure she had her fair share of 'goofing off' but not to the point of laughing at other people's pain when something happened.
With a silent sigh Ash pulled her carry on luggage onto the plane and shoved it into an overhead storage aria. She pulled down her pillow and her purse (yes she carried a purse what girl didn't at her age?) and then took a seat in the far side near the window. To say she was a little bit nervous about being on a plane for the first time was a bit of a understatement. She was terrified but as usual she didn't really show it. Instead she had pulled out her IPod and plugged in her headphones to help calm her self and to drown out the exalted chatter of her fellow upper classmates and those in her class.

Jack's 'crew' seemed to be everywhere every time someone would look at them wrong one would flat sending the unlucky person hiding from sight. Jack sighed as he was hoping to get a a set close to Ashlyn or even get lucky to sit by her. Jack hated to admit it but he did have a small crush on a sophomore, the sophomore being Ashlyn."Dude, there's a seat open right next to Ash." Lucius, One Of jacks friends who some considered to be a best friend said pointing slightly at Ashlyn.
Jack smiled as he nodded to Lucius before gripping his school bag that was filled with snacks and other things. People coming made sure to stair clear of him as he walked down the isle and sat down next to Ashlyn. Ashlyn remained unfazed by him sitting there which was odd Healy she was alert and would be looking around but then he saw she had her headphones on and was clearly listening to music as the music could be heard coming from the headphones. Ashlyn looked to be distracted as she seemed to be starring out the window looking at the building. He watched as she suddenly had a smile on her face and began to wave frantically at a man and a little girl who looked to be elven or twelve years old.
'Must be family.' He thought to himself.
Finnaly after the plane took off Ashlyn turned and jumped three feet in the air.her headphones fell off her head and landed on her shoulders. "You need a freaking bell dude." She said as she fixed her headphones "why are you even sitting here?" Ashlyn asked as she raised a eye brow.
Jack tried to play it cool. "Only seat open. So had to sit here." He said.
Ashlyn sighed as she stood up slightly and looked around. "No there's a seer by Lucius go sit there." She said nonchalantly.
Jack sighed knowing there was no arguing. With a sigh he picked up his bag and moved further back to the back of the plane next to Lucius.
"Said there was no other sweat?" Lucius asked smirking
"Yep." Jack said
"Best thing to say with out looking first?"
"Nope."
"Gonna look around before talking next time?"
"Yep."
Lucius smirked. "Next time buddy." He said patting Jack on the shoulder.

Ash sighed as she stood up slightly and glanced at Jack. "Well that wasn't weird at all." She mumbled."I think jack has a crush on you." Jolene, one of Ash's best friends said as she sat down next to her.
"A crush on me? Ha! Your so funny that I forgot to laugh." Ash said flatly but then smirking.
"I highly doubt that anyways. Why would he date me when he already has Cleo stalking him? Might as well just date her." She said pointing to the teen who seemed to be starring at Jack.
"Yeah ok what ever. I still think he has a crush on you. You should totally go out with him you could become popular and because I'm your best friend I would automatically become just as popular as you!" Jolene said smirking.
"You just think that. I'd rather stay on the shadows where I'm not seen. I'd rather not be in the spot light if I can keep from it. Plus the shadows don't judge you like others so it's fine." Ash said
"Ok fine what ever you say." Jolene said smirking "but still."
Ashlyn turned back to the window starring out of it. 'Like I would even date to begin with' she thought to her self
