Friday. 4:23. Town Square.

Wes

I shut the door behind me as Blitz stared warily at Iggie.

"Who are you?" He asked him.

Iggie just smiled. "A friend." Turning his head to my ice cream, he suddenly frowned. "You're ice cream's melting. Can't have that, can we?" He muttered, pulling off his dark glasses. The second he did, he stared at the ice cream cone and a beam of blue shot out from his eyes. It was so cold my fingers went numb.

When he covered his eyes again, blocking the beam, my ice cream was trapped in a giant ice cube, along with my hand.

"Gah!" I yelped, panicking when I couldn't feel the rest of my hand.

"Oh dear," Iggie's frown deepened. "Maybe I should have been more gentle." He mumbled while I started freaking out again.

"I don't like this, I don't like this, I don't like this-" I repeated, over and over until Blitz lit up his hand. He grabbed the block of ice and it melted almost instantly, the water slipping through my fingers. The warmth brought some feeling back to my hand again, but I was still worried I'd have frostbite if some sort.

"You see, my powers are a little.. unpredictable. It works when I want it to, but it sometimes works when I don't want it too, as well..." Ignace sighed, lifting his glasses to tiredly rub his face. I practically dived behind Blitz before realizing his eyes were shut.

"I used to run SKY, you know. I mentored all those Heroes. But I couldn't even save them in the end."

"The Sky?" Kove raised his eyebrow.

"No, just SKY, all capitals. It was an anagram..." He trailed off. "Although I don't quite remember what it stood for.. In any case, it used to be a place welcome to all Supheroes. Like... The UnderGround, but for Heroes."

"The UnderGround?" This time Blitz was the one who spoke.

"It's where all the Anti-s are, I know where it is, but I swore I wouldn't do it, not again."

"Do what?" I asked, Is he going to say something that makes sense?

"Wait.." Kove ignored me. "Does it look like a bunch of tunnels, with these weird rooms in the sides."

Iggie straightened.

"So you've been there! You really are like your Father, aren't you?" He then turned to me. "What about you two, where do you get your powers from?"

"Our Dad." I answered. "We're brothers."

"Theodore Callahan." Blitz added. Iggie reeled back, as if he hadn't heard that name in a long time.

"Teddy Bear himself? He's alive?" He laughed. "I taught that young troublemaker everything he knows. Him and Monty, always wanted to skip the training, go straight to the big league. I'm not surprised he started training you early-"

"About that.." I laughed nervously. "He actually doesn't know we're doing this and we would really appreciate it if you didn't mention anything to him.."

Iggie had this twinkle in his eye, it reminded me of Dumbledore. With a knowing smile, he spoke once more.

"You three really have no idea what you're doing, do you?"
