It was just another day for Mr and Mrs Williamson - Another day without their children. Another day spent in desolation. Mrs Williamson's grief was beyond words.....She didn't even cry nowadays....It was as if she had accepted the fact that her children were dead. All sorts of investigation had gone in vain. Even the police had been unable to get on track. Everything seemed so mysterious and that was what puzzled Mr Williamson. He just couldn't get it......How could six kids vanish into thin air without leaving any trace? There were no clues that pointed towards kidnapping. But seriously, if six kids were kidnapped.....someone would have heard. They would have definitely put up a fight. But if not that....how? This was the question that kept zooming around in everybody's mind. Gradually, evening rolled in . Time never stopped for anybody and neither did it in this case. Mr Williamson gazed out of the window into the darkness, smoking a cigarette. His wife hadn't woken up yet and he was wondering whether he should go and wake her up.
"Waking her up won't do much good to her anyway," he thought," She prefers to remain asleep most of the time these days."
As he turned around, something under the couch caught his eye. He extinguished his cigarette and put it in the ashtray. Turning on the flashlight in his phone, he reached out under the couch and brought it out. It was the same box that had started this entire disaster. But Mr Williamson didn't know that. The warning at the back left him puzzled.....which is pretty obvious. "Now where did this come from?" he muttered to himself as he set about, examining the now dusty box. The name Gordon Williamson left him even more perturbed. He had never ever seen this box....yet it now lay in his living room. Should he open it? Could this have something to do with the missing kids? Nonsense! Of course not. Witchcraft and wizardry don't exist.......except in books of course. But as he went ahead to open up the box, he realized it was locked. This time he became impatient.
"Oh screw this.....I have more important things to attend to."
Yet he couldn't get the box out of his mind. He decided to have a go at it after dinner, and that was when he found the key. It was lying exactly where the box had been and it was kinda creepy since he was sure he hadn't seen the key beforehand. But something seemed to pull him towards the box......something beckoned him....it was as if something was pulling his hand towards the box. And he couldn't restrain himself. Finally, he did open it . Nothing happened at all this time. The box was empty.....well except for a piece of parchment which read 'beware'. "Probably just someone's idea of a joke." Never for a minute did it occur to him how and why the box was there in his living room. On the contrary, her scolded himself for having been intrigued by such a stupid stimulus and went off to bed.
