Mr Williamson woke up the next day and did not find his wife beside him. No it wasn't too late either.....Mrs Williamson usually didn't wake up this early at 5:30 in the morning. "Maybe she has gone to the bathroom," he thought, lying on the bed, unwilling to get up. There was a strange chill in the air.....Had the air conditioner been on all night?

Mr Williamson was about to get out of the covers when he noticed that the power was out. Then, what?

In the meantime, Mrs Williamson was not in the bathroom either. He called out to her a number of times but there was no response. As he got out of bed and pulled back the curtains, he got a big shock. The sky was dark.....really dark. And why were the surroundings so different? Where did the rest of the houses go?

He whipped out his phone, meaning to call his wife. But he was greeted with a big "No Service" symbol on his phone. Sensing something sinister going on, he opened the door, to be greeted by another surprise......A very nasty one. The entire living room looked like it had been ransacked. There were streaks of green colour on the floor and the walls......Were they even just some colour? Those streaks were giving off a putrid smell, which made him want to throw up. Backing away into the bedroom, he probably got the worst shock of all...which was enough to jerk him away from the present. He was looking at the now decomposing body of his daughter, Jillian. He slumped back against the wall, tears leaking out from the corner of his eyes.

"No, this can't be happening," he mumbled, his breathing now rapid,"No, no ,no ,no!"

He sat like that, disillusioned for a good 10 minutes. Suddenly a thought occurred to him. "Who killed her? Where are the others? Are they even......"

"No I have got to pull myself together. I ..I ...I go to do something. I will call 911." And with resolute he got up and dashed downstairs to the telephone. But with one look at the burnt telephone box outside, he soon realized that he was cut off from the rest of the world.

"I will go downtown to the police.I know they will be able to help me. Where are the car keys? DAMN!"

The car keys were finally located in his desk upstairs. In that moment of anxiety, he couldn't even think straight. But it wasn't much of help, since he couldn't FIND his car anywhere.

"Where the heck did the car go? " he ran around like a madman clutching his hair.

He suddenly stopped and wondered whether the town was even there or not. As far as his eyes could see, he could sight no house, or any sign of civilization, for that matter. At that point of time he couldn't even think of what to do. Hey, WAIT a minute! Does this have something to do with the box? He hadn't seen the box anywhere when he came down. Had the children also disappeared in this way? Was this a different world altogether? His brain buzzed with millions of thoughts impinging upon his consciousness at the same time . In the end, he decided to track the children down......Something within him was telling him that the children would be somewhere nearby...Something was wrong about that box.
