I couldn't quite comprehend what I'd just heard. I couldn't get any words out. My mouth was completely numb; as was the rest of my body by this point. All I could do was stutter. She gave me this look, like someone had just flicked a switch in that little mind of hers. "Babe," I chucked fakely, "you're joking, yeah?"
"No and I'm God damn happy I'm not." I then laughed hard, hoping she would join in and end the tension- she didn't. She was serious, dead serious. "She is, well was, a dirty cheat who should never of dated you. You never deserved her; no one does babe." She said this as she caressed my chin and lent in; her face close to mine. She pulled me in for a kiss and I pushed back, making her stare at me hard with disappointment. I had to ask her something, I had to know.
"How did you- you- you know..?" I just couldn't bring myself to say the K word as my chin began to quiver hard and my eyes started to fill up to the brim. She looked at me, her blank expression turning to one of pride, as she smirked.
"You really want to know?"
