Taehyung tugged at the suit jacket he wore, the material stretching a tad bit lower. He ran a hand through his hair, the strands feeling like hay yet surprisingly shiny in the artificial light.
The seven of them had walked to the closest gas station they could in order to get changed. Although half of them were still worn out and tired from the trip, they had no other option than to get changed in the suits they packed (which were the same ones from their museum scope-out) and go straight to the casino. They couldn't waste a single second, in fear that doing so would ruin the plan entirely.
Jin had informed them during their walk that he still had notes that weren't from the bank, so they could bus it as close as they could to the casino then conclude the journey by foot. Yoongi, however, had made the point that it'd look weird-seven males dressed in mildly expensive suits with duffle bags-so they opted to use the cash for as much of a taxi ride as they could.
So, with that in mind, they decided to use the gas station's restrooms and prepare themselves for the eventful hours to come.
The seven of them were dressed and clean in twenty-five minutes, dumping their masks and clothes in a nearby bin before kindly asking the elderly male at the counter in the station to use his phone in order to call a maxi taxi. Rather than having the driver meet them at the gas station, they gave them the name of the building at the end of the street.
The building had very few lights on in the offices by the big, glass windows, and several colleagues were leaving the company with their purses or brief cases clutched tight.
Namjoon raised his left arm and looked down at his wrist, eyes flicking to the barely working watch he had strapped on. He had to tap at it a few times before giving up with a heavy sigh. Looking behind him, he noticed that Taehyung had finally exited the restroom and began making his way down the street and towards them.
He instantly made his way to Hoseok, who was rubbing his hands together to stay warm in the late night temperatures. The two of them were slightly pale-well, as pale as Taehyung's natural, golden skin could get in the cool air-and Yoongi seemed to look like a ghost.
"It's spring," He muttered through gritted teeth, his cat-like eyes scowling at the asphalt before them. "How can it be this cold?"
"It's eleven thirty at night," Jin chuckled as he moved to stand in front of Namjoon, the younger wrapping his arms around his waist and pulling him closer. "It's not like it'll be forty degrees."
"It's not that cold," Jeongguk chirped as he rocked back and forth on his heels.
The younger decided to carry two of the four duffle bags. He had one strapped onto his back and the other pressed against his chest, his arms wrapping around it and holding it close to him.
"Yeah," Yoongi huffed, eyes still narrowed but set on Jeongguk's figure, specifically the bag he had hugged to his chest, "I wonder why you'd be the one saying that."
Jimin, who was hugging himself to keep warm, giggled. "Gguk-ah, can I have one?"
He would've asked for the other two, but once Taehyung had seen Jeongguk's methods for staying warm he did the exact same thing with the duffle bags.
The youngest pursed his lips and frowned, pretending to think hard on the question before opening an arm up for Jimin. Black hair bouncing with every quick leap he took forward, Jimin buried himself into the warmth Jeongguk's side and the bags provided. He wrapped his arms around the brown-haired male, sighing at the slightly noticeable change.
Yoongi, who was feeling isolated when he looked from Namjoon and Jin, to Hoseok and Taehyung (who had the same idea as Jeongguk and Jimin) to the remaining two, scoffed and wrapped his arms around his waist and decided to provide himself his own heat. Unfortunately, it did very little. In fact, he was so cold that he had to clamp his jaw shut just to stop his teeth from clattering.
He refused to believe that he was jealous. He refused to believe that he was so affected by Jimin and Jeongguk being so close. If in any way he was jealous-which he wasn't, because Yoongi didn't get jealous-it'd be because everyone was keeping each other warm and he was standing by himself, the smallest, thinnest and palest of them all yet there was someone like Jeongguk, who was tall, considerably muscular and practically a walking furnace, keeping Jimin warm whilst the latter did the same for him. Yoongi could've kept the black-haired fighter warm, Jimin returning the favour, but Jeongguk was in the way. Min Yoongi was certainly not jealous.
Peeking up and through the bangs that fell well past his eyes, Yoongi caught sight of Jeongguk and Jimin clinging on to each other, both smiling about something Jeongguk had uttered. At the sight, he started fuming.
Yes. Min Yoongi was undeniably, unequivocally jealous. But only for obvious reasons, because he would not admit that he wanted to be in Jeongguk's place for reasons other than body warmth.
The loud squeaking of breaks made Yoongi snap his head up and his eyes lock on the maxi taxi they had been waiting almost ten minutes for. He was the first one to move, shoving Taehyung aside as he stepped into the van and sat on the only single-seat there was. He refused to look at Jimin as he made his way into the taxi, consequently missing the small pout the younger failed to hide upon noticing he couldn't sit with Yoongi.
"Big night planned at the casino?" The considerably young male behind the wheel of the taxi asked once Jin had informed him where to drive, eyes catching sight of the duffle bags through the rear view mirror.
"Yes," Jin chirped, shooting a charming smile at the driver. "We're finally cashing our last winnings in. Hopefully it's worth it, right?"
The driver chuckled, then began to animatedly share a story of when he and his friends did the same thing. He and Jin held a good, stable conversation, effectively taking the driver's attention off of any suspicions he had of the seven males.
Namjoon was an easily jealous person, so he simply gripped Jin's thigh whenever he felt he blond was being too friendly or, even, flirty.
The driver didn't seem to mind the fact that Jin's Chinese wasn't the best, even opting to speak Korean after hearing him struggle over some words. Back and forth they went, both speaking kindly to one another and Jin lying through his teeth with every question the driver shot their way that regarded their presence in Macau, or their other reasons for heading to the casino.
That continued for merely twenty minutes-Jin and the driver speaking back and forth to one another whilst the remaining six passengers stayed silent-before the driver pulled up in front of the casino. He didn't comment on the fact that Jin handed him money in the wrong currency or even bother checking to notice that the amount given to him was far too little, too distracted with the charming smile that was being beamed at him as they exited the taxi.
Once the vehicle was out of their sight, Jin twirled with that same smile he put on display the whole twenty minute drive. He shot the six men before him a cheeky look, as if telling him that he really did all of that.
Yoongi rolled his eyes, reaching behind him and ripping one of the bags from Jeongguk's grip. He completely ignored the loud 'Hey!' Jeongguk let out, instead opting to start walking towards the casino.
"Let's just do this."
