Chap 5

CHAPTER 5:

Everyone walked into my room and made themselves comfortable on my bed.

Ashton and Violet instantly hitting it off talking about some video they say about some guy the other day. It was really nice to see ash happy i guess, he hasn't been since his ex broke up with him. Violet and him were cute together and I was sorta jealous of them to be honest.

I looked over at Grace and she was looking down at her phone typing away. I couldn't help but notice the way she was smiling at the phone as her hair fell perfectly in front of her face. She was really pretty and I couldn't get enough of looking at her.

Suddenly she looked up from her phone and looked directly at me. I tried to move my head fast enough so that it wasn't obvious that I was watching her. But from the corner of my eye I could see a little smirk as she went back to typing.

"How is Scott doing?" i asked trying to break the nice but awkward silence between the two of us. I knew they had been dating since the second week of school.

"He's great actually, he just a little sad that I'm not with him tonight." She said with a innocent smile. She was so pretty but she was taken i couldn't keep thinking this way.

Maybe her coming over wasn't a great idea.

"Thats awesome I'm glad it worked out for the two of you. Scott's a nice guy." I responded after I realized! she was waiting for a response in a way.

My mom called us down for dinner a few seconds later and I felt relieved because I didn't know if I could sit there talking about Scott with her anymore then I had to.

Truly Scott was a pretty good guy but I had heard some rummers that he had a temper and sometimes let it out on his ex girlfriend. I didn't want anything to happen to Grace so I promised to myself to keep her safe if I could.

Everyone was up and walking downstairs when Ashton came back into my room starring my down.

"What?!" I snapped at him.

"Nothing just glad you invited me and not Michael or Calum." he smirked.

"Man I know when I see a girl desperate for a guy. And I know when I gotta hock them up."

"Your right man! if only Grace wasn't taken." he laughed.

"How did u know that?" I responded fast and with a glare at him.

"Unlike you I pay attention when I'm in school and I heard a little fucker asking her in front of my locker!" He laughed again.

I rolled my eyes at him. I was done with his shit so I got up and walked downstairs. I was starving.

When I got down there the girls were already sitting. Ashton came up behind me running and took the spot beside Violet. I wasn't so mad about that I liked sitting beside Grace even after finding out 'she was dating Scott. The more I thought about them the more I hated Scott. I didnt like how he got her before I had a chance. Mean while she is totally out of my limit I would like to think I could have had a chance.

Graces POV

I didn't know what to do. I was sitting in Luke's house of all people and all I wanted to do was talk to him but since I told him me and Scott were dating something changed in him.

As we are eating dinner everyone else is talking but me and Luke so i try to make small talk with him.

"So how are your classes going Luke?" I said in a shy little voice.

"It's been okay i guess. Well it's been better haven't been bumping into you lately.how about you?" Luke responded as he put a fork full of mash potatoes into his mouth.

Ouch

That stung a little. Here I was thinking that maybe he sorta liked me maybe even just as a friend but I guess not. Well I was going to be as honest as I could back.

Lukes POV

"Its been great with Scott but I miss bumping into in the halls it made my day." She said honestly, with a cute smile.

Wow that took me by surprise. Here I was thinking she now doesn't want to see me anymore cuz we hadn't really since the first month of school. I never thought I would hear that coming from her. I could feel my cheeks heat up. Why was this happening.

"Oh have you been sad without me bumping into you and scaring you everyday?" I said with a smirk hoping she would catch on.

"Yeah actually I have." She said with a wink.

The rest of the dinner went pretty well we talked about all kinds of things and ended up having a great time. We shared lost of stories and laughs. It was really nice to see her happy she had such a nice smile and a beautiful laugh.

I noticed that she hadn't really touched her phone at all during the night. I guess we were keeping her more occupied then Scott and that made he so happy inside.

It was about 8:30 when Grace got a call and had to get up and leave the room to take.

As soon as she left Violet comes and sits beside me on the couch I was sitting on.

"Well well well. Now I know why you wanted me to bring a friend!" she said with a laugh. As she said it I could feel my face go heat up again.

Why did this keep happening to me its not like i liked Grace plus she had a boyfriend and she's way out of my limit. I just though she was hot thats really it.

"Actually i wanted you to bring a friend because I knew that I need to bring a special friend with me." Looking over at Ashton and gave him a wink.

"Oh sure thats what it was Luke." Sending me a wink and then getting up to move back to sitting on the same couch as Ashton. "You did good though Luke with your friend. A very good choice." She said moving closer to Ashton. His face lit up with happiness. I could tell he was agreeing with every word she said.

Grace walked back in with a sad face on.

"Im sorry guys but I have to go Scott didn't realize I had plans tonight so he through a party and he's annoyed i haven't shown up yet. So i better get going. he gave me his address and said it wasn't to far from here so ill be on my way." She said heading towards the door. "Thanks for dinner Mrs. Hemming's everything was delicious." She called back to my mom.

"Wait why don't we all go to Scott's party I'm sure he wouldn't mind if we all showed up and Luke could drive us there." Violet said with a giant smile towards Grace.

"Well i don't know i guess it would be okay." Grace responded sending me a smile. "Would that be okay with you two?" she said looking between me and Ashton.

"Yeah that sounds like a blast to me!" Ashton said sounding way to excited.

"I guess it could be fun and my car can fit us all so let's go." I said as we all rushed out the door. As I grabbed my keys I wondered what would happen tonight.
