Hermoine Granger POV
"So, what are you going to wear?" Ginny's voice interrupted me from my daze. Today Ron had asked me on a date. We had been together for 2 weeks and I was super excited for what we where going to. He was taking me to Madame Mariana's, a french restaurant that was very expensive. I pulled a short red dress out of my closet. It was decorated with golden lace and Ginny chuckled. "What?" I look at my friend. "You still have your Gryffindor pride don't you?" Ginny says smirking. Ginny has been my best friend for a very long time and I don't know what I would do without her. I walked into the bathroom and changed into the dress. I walked back into my bedroom and Ginny squealed. "That is so pretty!" I laughed at her reaction.
I headed out of my car and into the restaurant. I saw Ron sitting at a 2 person table and walked over to him. He was reading a book and did not seem to notice me. "Ron, darling" I said getting his attention. He snapped the book closed and looked at me. "Hi, Hermione" he said his voice cracking. I smiled at him. A blonde waitress walked over and kissed Ron on the lips. I recognized the waitress as Lavender Brown (Lavender, Dumbledore, Fred, Snape, Lupin, and Tonks are all alive.) "What just happened?"I ask completely confused. "Oh Won Won, hasn't told you yet?" Lavender replied a smile of fake innocence on her lips. "Told me what?" I glared at Ron anger visible in my tone. "Oh, um...." Ron said shakily muttering something under his breath. "We are together!" Lavender squealed. I stood up out of my chair I was really angry now. "You cheated on me Ronald" I said loudly the entire restaurant was silent and staring at us, or really what was us. "Why?, Ronald, Why?" my glare so strong. He seemed to have regained his Gryffindor bravery as he said " Why? because you never care about your appearance, you make more money than I do and you don't ever give me pleasure like Lavender does." He smiled thinking he won. I just sighed. "So you cheated on me because I work harder than you, I don't care what people think of me, and I don't give things away cause you want me too. Yeah great reasons Ronald." I walked up to him and slapped him then walked out of restaurant. I got in my car and drove off doing something I hadn't done in a long time. Crying.
I walked in to my flat and started crying on the couch. Ginny walked in with Harry and ran to comfort me. "What happened?" Ginny's soft voice asked. "He CHEATED on me!" I wailed. Harry immediately left the room anger on his face. Ginny grabbed my hand and pulled me into a sitting position. She walked into the kitchen then walked back out my mail in her hand. "Come on" she handed them to me,"Open them up." I looked through the mail and saw a Hogwarts envelope. I opened it up and there was a letter.
Dear Miss. Hermione Granger, You have been invited to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for your 8th year. This year there will be no Heads although if there were going to be heads you would get the role of Head Girl. The reason why there are no heads will be explained later at school, if you choose to attend. Sincerely, Headmistress McGonagall
The decision was easy to make. I was going back to Hogwarts!! ( :
