Chapter 5

This weird metal thing stood before me . It was dirty, had bars on the top like a dome just with holes. These circle things were huge to the small thing and had ridges. There were two seats in the front and two in the back.

"This is a buggy, it helps us move fast and travel efficiently. These wheels help us get over hills and this tank back here stores the gas just in case we run out, and In the front is the engine."

"Engine, has, wheels?" I looked around. We were more in non-flat area. The floor covered with this two green stuff. Behind me with the place with the tall brown statues covered with soft or hard green things.

"What are those." I asked pouting behind me. He looked were I pointed but continued to mess with his 'buggy'.
"Trees." I repeated the word. It was such a new word.i kept on saying 'trees'. I think Daniel started to get annoyed judging by his face he didn't look pleased. So I stopped.

Minutes passed and I watch the color full lights on the vary tall ceiling.
"Okay it ready get on." I looked at it in fear.
"Wait what, We get on it."
"Yeeesss?" I was unsure about this. I hesitated walking closer to it. I flinched when I touched it. "You sit in the seat if you didn't know."
"I-I knew that." I sat down in the seat. It felt kinda rough when I touched it with my hand but when I say in it, it was bouncy and kinda comfy.

"You should put this on." He reach his arm over me. And pulled this strap and locked me in.
"W-what is this some kind of trap!"
"What no, it's suppose to keep you safe. Just in case we come into An accident, like that has ever happened before." He placed a strap over him and then the thing start to shake a little and stopped.

"What is this going to do?"
"You shall see." It jerked me forward as we went back a little and then jerked me back as we went really fast. I looked up to see the colorful ceiling. I hope he knows what he is doing. The buggy made a sound in the front which might have been the engine he mentioned. We went up in a jerk.

"Sorry that was a big bump." I looked at him confused. I looked at the sides to see the talk green things and decided to touch them. I pulled my hand back with a yelp. "I shouldn't do that while this is moving. That grass with smack you hard. Trust me I have done it before when I was young." I held my hand running it. I could see a small red mark. I could see in the dark now because there was a light in the buggy. And lights in the front that showed us the way.

More time has past and I could see a large light coming up from the ground. I tried to look at it but it hurt to do so.
"Don't look at the sun. It could make you blind." If you were blind at my home you would be taken by the soldiers and you are never seen again.
"Oh." I replied.
"The sun means it's almost day. With the sun is over us that means it's half way through the day, called the afternoon." The ceiling was changing into a blue, pink and, purple. These fluffy white stuff on the ceiling was pink, and purple. But if I remember correctly these fluffy things are called clouds. They cause rain and horrible storms called hurricanes and tornadoes. The thought of it made me shiver. Those storms can kill people. I have never seen one but I kinda want to. They seem to be fine to me.

"how much longer?" I asked.
"Not long. You will get to see my family and you can be part of that family." He smiled when he said family.

"I heard about family what does it mean?" He paused then answered me.
"Well it's kinda hard to explain."
"How so." He scratch the back of his head nervously.

"Well you see it's more like not realtors but if I had to explain it. It's like you are really close to some one and you think of them more then a friend. You hang out with them you basically are together all the time. You just consider them as a family member. Do you get what I mean?" I think I did, I just need to learn more about it.

"I think so." I replied. The buggy jerked up again.
"For some plains it's pretty bumpy." The large ball of light was rising higher. Bringing light everywhere. I felt cold air on my face as we went faster. I stuck my head out into the open area and my hair started to flow back behind me.

I smiled, everything about this was fun. When I was young I always wanted an and adventure. The world did fascinate me. I wanted to learn and grow to the top. But this, this was a better way to learn about the world. I get to see it up close and experience what the tarnished did.

The buggy wasn't so bad. It was just used to help travel around. I think most things were similar to this, if I remember correctly they are called cars. This buggy was similar to its match. Except it doesn't have doors.

I stuck my head back in and looked at myself. It was covered in this brown stuff on my uniform, and the bottom of my feet were dark. I touch it and it got on my finger.

"That's called dirt. It's what helps plants grow and help us walk on earth."
"Why is it on me."
"I don't know that's just what it does. But your dirty. So you can get cleaned up when we get there."
"Oh okay?"
