“Luke and Skyla are in the building” Luke yelled into the house alerting everyone we were back, “how was it?” a boy with black hair nudged him, “Skyla, this is Skip, Skip, this is Skyla” Luke introduced us, I stepped closer to Luke, I felt nervous meeting new people. Skip smirked while looking me up and down, Luke cleared his throat sensing that I was tensing up. “Hey James” Luke smiled over towards another boy who walked through the door, “hey Luke, whose this” the other boy who was called James said, Skip had left to go find everyone else. “this is Skyla” Luke said putting his arm around my shoulder, making me feel warm inside. “nice to meet you, Skyla. Im James” he put out his hand for me to shake, I lent in and did the same. “lets go upstairs” Luke said looking down at me.
“So.. about today?” Luke started as we sat down on his bed, “like wha- what happened?” he started to stutter, I looked down at the ground thinking deeply about what I was going to say, I didn’t want Luke to think any different of me, when the kids at my school found out they were brutal, partly a reason I ran away. He placed his hand on my thigh “its okay if you don’t want to talk about, but just know, ill always keep you safe” he kissed me on the forehead then left the room, I sprawled out over his bed, it felt nice to be in peace, I don’t know what my dad meant by his text, I don’t know if I want to either.
“SKYLA, WAKE UP!” I heard a male voice scream in the room, I opened my eyes groggily, I must have fell asleep, I looked out the window and it was dark, I focused on the 5 boys that stood in the room watching my every move “whats up guys?” I said softly, still trying to adjust to the light, “well, I uploaded the video of you and Luke at the airport onto our youtube account” Jai started, “there are heaps of comments that you should look at” Skip continued, “and consider” James added smirking at Luke, his cheeks burned crimson. “it has over 850,000 views” Beau said ecstatically, he looked overly happy, “but there are some things you shouldn’t read aswell” Luke said, he looked upset, I decided to shrug it off. Beau passed me the laptop and I watched the video, it was of me and Luke talking away and smiling at each other like no tomorrow, ‘Luke’s new girlfriend?’ was the name of the video, I shook my head but laughed at the same time, there were a lot of nice comments saying ‘they would be a great couple’ or ‘shes really pretty’ but then there was the hate ones ‘she looks like a skank’ and ‘Lukes mine not hers’ but I just didn’t take notice, there was one comment that caught my eye, “how did Skyla get someone that hot, only her father would shag her, wait.. he does anyways” I gasped and then froze, all the boys were laughing at my reaction, little did they realise what I had just read, I hit the delete button many times before breaking down into tears. “Sky, whats wrong?” Beau said jumping onto the bed and closing the laptop, the boys soon stopped laughing when they realised that something was wrong, he pulled me in for a hug rubbing my back, loud sobs reoccurred, and Beau continuously told me “everything was going to be okay” but I knew it was the complete opposite.
