Chapter 16

Flights were being called over the loud speaker which boomed through the airport, “theirs your luggage Sky!” India said a little over excitedly, “there’s yours Ocean” I said motioning to the luggage that came past us on the conveyer belt, we had just arrived in Melbourne airport. “do you think I could go to a friend’s house today?” I asked Dale, he smiled and nodded “of course” I engulfed him in a big hug, “thank you, thank you, thank you!” I shrieked, I grabbed my little bag and left my luggage with the others, I ran through the airport and couldn’t see Beau anywhere, I felt my heart break a little but I shrugged it off, I hopped on a bus out the front of the airport to the the train station and then a train to Broadmedows.

I got off outside Penola Catholic Collage, I smiled just seeing the school I loved, it’s a shame I couldn’t attend there any more, I ran down the familiar streets until I was standing outside the house I use to call home, I let out a shaky breath and trailed up the driveway, I got to the front door and a smile plastered across my face, I did a funny knock and took a few steps back waiting to be greeted by one of the boys or Gina, but instead a man answered, “can I help you?” his deep voice said, “oh.. I think I got the wrong house” I smiled awkwardly, when I saw a flash of Jai or Luke walk past, “no problem” he said going to close the door, “wait, is this the Brook’s house hold?” I questioned, “yes” he said unsure of why I asked, “is Gina or Luke or Jai or Beau here?” I shrieked, “sorry, no fans” he growled, “no no, im not a fan” I pleaded, “whose at the door?” a familiar sweet voice said, “Gina!” I screamed and pushed past the man and jumped on her for a hug before she could even say anything, “I missed you so much” I said, but she didn’t hug me back, I hopped off her realising she didn’t even have enough time to see who I was, she looked at me puzzled, I must have looked different, “its Sky” I smiled, “SKY” she screamed before pulling me in for a hug, “SKY! WHERE?” I heard 2 voices from the lounge room say, I turned to see to smiling twins standing at the door, “Luke,  Jai!” I yelled and then both tackled me to the floor squeezing me as tight as they could.

I stayed there for at least 3 hours talking to them all, when I finally brought up the question “wheres Beau?” they all looked at each other, “at his girlfriends” Gina said with a sympathic look, “I expected him to move on, its fine guys” Jai and Luke let out a sigh of relief knowing that I was okay with it. A couple of hours went on and I called Sophie and Dale to see if I could stay the night, Gina spoke to Sophie and they finally came to an agreement. “well guys, im really tired, so im gonna go crash” I said giving them all a hug and kiss on the cheek, “good night” they all chorused,  I went into the room I use to call mine, it had all change, the walls where white, the covers where bright and there was photos on the walls, the blinds where white, and he had a desk in his room, there was a photo of me kissing him on the cheek framed in a corner of the desk, I smiled. I opened up a draw or to before coming to a diary looking thing, on the front of the brown book had ‘Days without you” I opened it up and there was a picture of me stuck on the front page, and a tally underneath which looked like how many days I was gone for, the first couple of pages where filled with lines but I flicked through and it was blank, I came towards the back and there was notes to me. Tears escaped my eyes as I read them, I heard a girl giggling outside and quickly shoved the diary back in the draw I found it in, the door opened, I froze up, a girls legs were wrapped around Beau hips and there lips were moved in sync, they didn’t notice me in the room and continued doing what they were doing, I cleared my throat and they both snapped there attention to me, “ill just leave” I smiled with tears still running down my face, “whose that?” I heard the girl whisper to Beau, “I don’t know” he said still staring at me, I ran back over to the photo of me and him that sat on his desk and smashed it on the ground, “Sky?” he gasped, I just continued walking and went down stairs, it felt like I was reliving the time me and Beau had a fight over me cutting. I sprawled out on the lounge when I heard a door slam, and arms wrap around me, I was soon on the comfortable bed of Beau’s, “hi” I smiled, he face were centimetres above mine, he lips crashed against mine, “ive been waiting 2 years to do that again” he smiled.
