Chapter 13

I had never gone to a party before, we stood at the edge of the driveway where the party was located at, I could hear the music booming throughout the house. Beau grabbed my hand and dragged me up the driveway, we walked through the door, “Beau!” everyone cheered as he walked pasted them, he smiled and just kept walking, me tagging alone behind him. “drink my lady?” he said in a funny voice, I giggled and slightly nodded, he filled up a red cup along with another one for him, I took a sip, it was a strong hit, “what is this?” I said studying the dark liquid that filled the cup, “straight vodka” he smiled, I just shrugged and kept drinking it. We went into the loungeroom, the speakers were up as loud as they could go, I could barely think properly. “Beau” a voice shrieked from behind us, it was Taylor, “hey.. Taylor” he said hesitantly, “wheres my Lukey?” she slurred, her breath smelt of alcohol, “not around you” he joked, I couldn’t help but let out a laugh, she shot me a dagger with slightly pink cheeks, “your such a dick!” she yelled in her high pitch voice, “go away Taylor” he growled before turning back to continue dancing with me, drinks were passed to us from everywhere.

We had been at the party for what seem like hours, I had 1 to many drinks, and my feet started to hurt. “hey Sky” Luke slurred placing a wet kiss on my cheek, I smiled lightly scanning the backyard for Beau. “I miss you Sky, I did love you, I really did” he said with pain in his voice, “your drunk” I giggled, but so was I, “im serious Sky” he said coming closer to me, “I cant think properly knowing your with Beau” his warm breath tickled my skin, “Luke” I said softly, “just listen Sky” he growled and grabbed my arm so I could move, “I cant even function properly knowing were just friends.. it pains me” he bit his lip, it always made me go a little crazy on the inside, “Luke, your scaring me” I said calmly trying to keep a steady voice, he leant in to kiss me but I tugged away with all the power I had, but I didn’t have much the alcohol had drained me, “leave her alone” a deep voice said behind me, a sigh of relief escaped my lips, Beau I thought to myself, Luke released my arm and hurried to his feet, “thanks babe” I said wrapping my arms around Beau, he didn’t say anything, he grabbed my thighs and flung me over my shoulders, I giggled. “Beau put me down” but I didn’t get a response and we started walking towards the house, “Beau” I said in a playful voice again, people were exchanging me looks as we walked through the house, “Beau, seriously, put me down” I said in a stern voice, “its not fucking Beau” the person spat back at me, I gasped at the response and then saw Beau dancing with a girl in the loungeroom, “BEAU!” I screamed as loud as I could, he snapped his head up to me and the man started to run with me on his shoulders, I kicked and punched him in the back but it didn’t stop him.

I dug my nails into his back, “your just making it worse for yourself” a familiar voice growled at me, I chocked on my words when the realisation hit me of who it was, “dad” I gasped from under my breath, he let out a evil cackle, I screamed and kept kicking and punching him as he ran down the street, he tripped on a branch and the next thing I knew we were on the ground, this was my chance to get away, I got up and started running, my vision was blurred from all the alcohol I had consumed, god I regretted that now, I heard loud footsteps coming from behind me, “RUN SKY RUN!” I heard Beau scream, I looked back to seem my father wasn’t far behind me but had a rather sharp knife in his hand, I started to panic but somehow managed to speed up a little, I was looking back at the angry look that plastered my dads face when I hit something hard, I felt an arm grab me, “let me go” I screamed, I kicked them in the place where it hurts, I tried focusing my vision and saw my dad face, pure anger was in his face, “you shouldn’t have done that” he yelled in my face, his fist connected with my cheek, it hurt, a lot, I screamed at the pain but it was soon taken away but the pain that filled the left side of my body, I saw my dad smile and evil smile, he stopped attacking me and ran off before jumping into a car with no number plates and speeding off, I started to feel dizzy, “no!” I heard Beau scream before I fell to the ground, “Sky” his voice echoed through my ears, my eyes barley open, I could just see him running towards me, when everything went black.
