Chapter 6: Confusion

Hermione woke up lying on the couch with Draco in the floor. She was confused until she remembered last nights events. She smiled to herself knowing the feelings she had for Draco were real. Draco slowly stirred.

"Oh hey 'Mione. How'd you sleep?"he said lovingly.

"Very well Mr. Malfoy." She answered with a smile.

Draco and Hermione got up begrudgingly and got ready. Hermione went to take a quick shower to get ready. But as for Malfoy, he already had his robes on from the previous night. With his hair scruffy, he combed it slightly and waited on Hermione. She came out a couple minutes later with her hair in a bun in the back put up messily.

"Beautiful." Draco answered smirking.

"Oh shut up that's a lie. " Hermione answered.

"Why would I lie to you Granger?" he asked in a serious tone.

Whenever he said 'Granger', it made butterflies appear again and she smiled.

"I don't know. Never mind."

And with that, they walked off together to breakfast, unknowing of the future ahead of them in just a few hours.

"What do you mean you saw my father?!" Draco asked urgently to Hermione.

"I just saw him. Whenever I did, my scar on my arm burned. He was lurking around the potions classroom."

She was obviously as traumatized as he was so he eased up a bit.

"I'm sorry 'Mione. I wish I was there so I could've killed him right then." Draco said quietly.

I have him a quick hug and we headed to our dorm.

"What was my father doing exactly?" Draco asked concerned.

"Well he was digging in some old trunk that had Severus Snape on the front panel where the lock was. He almost caught me when he looked up but I hid before he could see me. What do you think he was looking for Draco?"

"I have no clue 'Mione but I have heard him talk about Snape's old diary before. He said that it had plans that he and my father wrote down to take over the wizarding world. Snape was only joking and thought my father was too. Only to not find out that he wasn't." Draco explained.

"But you told me that your father died." Hermione questioned.

"He knows many spells so he could have duplicated himself into making the dementor think that the clone was the real one. Although he is very gullible and vulnerable, he is an insane genius sometime."

"Come on, let's go."

"Where are we going?"

"Azkaban."
