Blake POV

I don't know how long I knelt there and cried but when Sun finally found me he knew exactly what to do. He knelt down beside me and wrapped his arms around me, then proceeded to press me to him. He felt so warm and safe that I felt like I never wanted him to let go. His presence helped me to calm down. I stopped crying and regained control of my breathing, then I turned in Sun's arms so that I was facing him. His bare chest glistened in the morning sunlight, I couldn't help but admire how toned and muscular he was. The thought made me blush slightly. I refocused my attention on Sun's concerned face looking down at me. I gave a weak smile.

"Hi," I said.

"Hey." He responded with a grin of his own. He repositioned himself in a cross-legged position. I was now kneeling in his lap and we were on the same eye level. My blush deppened.

"Sun, I..." I began, but Sun interrupted me by placing a finger to my lips.

"Shhh." He said, and though he tried to hide it, he was grinning slightly. The gesture was clear. He was taking me out of my comfort zone just as I had done with him last night and that I just had to put up with it. I grinned too and rolled my eyes.

"Alright, fine." I said. Sun nodded and his face became very serious.

"Blake," He said, "Is there something you need talk me about?" I shook my head.

"No." Sun rolled his eyes.

"That was a rethorical question, now spill." The command caught me off guard. Sun didn't seem like the kind of person to give orders and yet he was very good at it. Well I guess he is his team's leader, I thought to myself. I sighed.

"I'm just upset and angry and scared. I'm upset because of the way I acted last night, that was weak and childish. I'm also angry because of how dad treated you at breakfast, that was completely uncalled for. And lastly, I am scared. I've never shouted at my dad before in my entire life, it was such a new experience and it scares me."

Throughout all this Sun just sat there and nodded, waiting for me to finish. After I had done so, he began he reply in a soft and gentle voice, more gentle than I've ever heard from him.

"I get it Blake, and you have perfectly good reasons why you feel the way you do. But just know that feeling this way is ok. Look, I'm not going to say I enjoyed all of what you did last night, but I don't blame you, so stop blaming yourself. Also, while your dad calling me out was pretty out of line, I think he was just being the classic overprotective father, plus, that had to have been suspicious. And lastly, it's ok to feel scared when you try new things, it's only natural."

After each word he spoke, I felt a little of the emotion built up in my chest begin to fade away. However, there was one thing more that I hadn't told him.

"There's one more thing Sun." I said, looking up at him.

"What's that?"

"There is another reason why I'm scared and it's because the White Fang are here." Sun's face instantly became a frown. He looked up and glared out over Menagerie like he could see White Fang members on every street. Then he pressed me to him even harder.

"You don't have to be worried Blake, I am not going to let that creep Adam lay finger on you ever again." My cat ears flicked up as I looked up at Sun in surprise.

"Sun...I...I...thank you." I sputtered. He smiled.

"I will always be here to protect you." He reassured me. I leaned myself into his strong body as he continued to hold me.

"I believe you." I told him softly. I don't know how long we sat there, but suddenly, I heard someone clear their throat behind us. It was my dad with my mom standing next to him. He glanced at Sun, surprisingly he didn't look angry, but Sun understood at once. He stood up and pulled me up with him. Then he let go of me and stepped off to the side. My father approached me, twiddleing his thumbs.

"Blake." He said after some time, "I-I'm sorry." I smiled and hugged him to tell him he didn't need to say anything else.

"I'm sorry too." I said

Sun POV

After dinner that night I lay in my room, full and sleepy. In fact, I think I was asleep until I heard a knock on my door.

"It's open."

Blake opened the door. I sat up now fully alert.

"Hey Blake." I said, flicking my monkey tail, "What's up?" Blake walked up to me. I noticed a flush start to creep up her cheeks. She seemed to be struggling to get the words out.

"Sun..." She finally managed, "I have request."

"Sure," I said, "anything."

"Can you...can you..." She stammered, her flush had now spread across her entire face. Then finally she seemed to get the words out.

"Could you hold me like you did on the balcony this morning." I was taken aback but I didn't mind.

"Sure." I said, opening my arms for her. She slowly sank into me. At first she was tense but then she began to relax. She put her head into the crook of my neck. I even thought I heard her purr. I slowly lay down on the bed and she followed my lead without hesitation. And that was how we lay, cuddled together on the bed. I don't know how long this lasted, but at last Blake. I am glad she did because I would never have ended it.

"Sun."

She sat up, so did I. She gripped both my hands tightly in hers and on her face was the most warm and genuine smile I had ever seen on her face.

"Sun." She said, "Firstly, I wanted to thank you for this morning. That was really what needed." I nodded but I knew she wasn't done yet.

"Secondly, I think you might be the kindest, bravest, most amazing person I have ever met." I blushed.

"And thirdly," She said, moving closer, "I think I am in love with you." Before I even had chance to react to this statement she had pressed her lips to mine. We stayed like that for what felt like an eternity. My brain was a fog, a swirl of thoughts and feelings each impossible to discern. When we finally broke apart my face must have been pretty stupid because she burst out laughing. It was the first true laugh I had heard from her for a long time.

"I Blake...I..." I couldn't find my words so I used my actions instead. I pulled her to me again and kissed her, passionately this time. When we broke apart this time we were both smiling.

"I love you too." I told her, thought that was rather unnecessary, but she excepted it. We lay down on the bed, entwined in each other's arms. Needless to say, that night was the best night of my life.

The End

Hi guys, it's your author and OMG I did not know that you guys were enjoying this so much until just recently. I am so sorry for not uploading this last chapter for so long. I have had the thing almost done for like 2 months and just haven't finished it. I actually almost forgot about it. However, I do have the excuse of school but I bet you are all sick and tired of hearing, though this a very important time to bring it up because it is really getting in the way of my writing. This has been a real annoyance because I want to write but I never have time and I am about to enter what will be the craziest month of my life so far. Good news, however, after May, you can expect regular uploads from me over the summer because then I will have much more free time to write. I promised you guys a sequel to Since the Day We Met and I am going to try to finish The New Girl in that time too (Also if you guys haven't checked out New Girl, I beg you to at least try to read it, I really want it to do well because I am pouring my heart into that story). Anyway, I am pretty sure that is it so I am going End this here. I really hope you have enjoyed this fanfic.

Sincerely,

Ren
