COEX- The Prologue

Agent Canary

Alex Danvers laid on her back in the bed in one of the guest bedrooms of Felicity Smoak’s house.

Her arms were folded under her head and a loose sheet was thrown carelessly over the lower half of her body, covering her hips down.

Sara Lance laid on her stomach next to Alex with her right arm tossed over Alex’s breasts, her head laying on the other woman's right arm. Her lower half was also covered by the thin, white sheet.

The two women were completely naked besides the sheet that was over them, and they just laid there and cuddled as they talked about what was going on with their love lives on their perspective Earths.

“-- So, we broke up. I mean, I had to let her go, you know? We had different dreams and we couldn't stay together if we couldn't make each other happy. And in the long run… “

“You saw the future differently.” Sara nodded. “Well, she's crazy. I would give you ten kids. I mean, I don't have sperm or a penis or any of that, but I would find a way to give you kids. Donors, adoption, surrogacy. We'd do it all. If it wasn't for, you know, us living on different Earths and all.”

“What about you, huh? Snart was insane to die on you. I would never sacrifice myself if it hurt you. I'd sacrifice Mick.” Alex joked with a small grin.

“God, we were so made to be together.” Sara groaned, loudly. “Different Earths suck!”

“You could always… Come back with me.” Alex offered, glancing over at Sara, where she lay on her arm.

“You know I can't do that. The Legends would crash and burn without me. Literally. I am the only one who can pilot the Waverider and they would plummet towards the Earth and die. That or, you know, Rory.” Sara chuckled. “What about you? Stay with me. We can hop on the Waverider and go anywhere. Do anything. Name a place and time, we'll go right now!”

“I can't do that, either, Sara… I have Kara. It's my job as big sister to put her before myself, no matter what.”

“Put her over your own happiness?”

“Put her before me, always. If Kara is happy, I am happy.” Although, the look on her face told Sara differently. She so desperately wanted to stay but she knew that if she did and Kara got hurt, she would never stop blaming herself. It kind of reminded her of Laurel. How she left to fight crime in different times and when she returned, her sister had died and there was nothing she could do to stop her.

She wouldn't let Alex feel that, even if it meant risking their own happiness. She wouldn't want anyone to feel the way she did when she lost her sister. Not ever.

“What the hell?” Alex asked, looking out the bedroom window. Sara rolled over to see what it was she was talking about. There was a bright turquoise light outside, speeding towards them. It got brighter and brighter and brighter until it washed over the entire house and both women passed out.

Olicity

Felicity sat on her chair in front of a mirror as she brushed her hair, getting ready for bed.
“Hey,” Oliver said quietly, walking over to her.

She smiled. “Hey. Are you… Okay? I know this past week was… A lot to go through. A lot to take in.”

“I'm… Alright. We've been through worse, right?” He chuckled softly, looking down at Felicity as he stood behind her.

“Absolutely right.” She smiled and stood up, turning to face him. “From bullet holes in a laptop to Nazis from another Earth. We can do… anything.”
