My niece, Justin and I walked down the sidewalk to get to the park. My niece on Justin's Shoulders and him holding my hand it couldn't be perfect. We got to the park Justin let my niece down and we sat on the bench.
"You know.. I really love Sophia.. How long do we get her for?" asked Justin.
"For another week or so. you are so great with kids Justin.." I said.
"Y/N.. We have been married for 2 years I'm ready but you're not.." Justin said and then looked down.
"Justin... You hit your 21st birthday.. I still have one more year until mine. I wanna wait." I said.
" I understand but don't you want kids yet?" he asked.
"Justin... Lets not talk about this here. Please don't be angry, but I want to wait until after my birthday." I said.
After it was silent. No words spoke form his mouth or mine until... BOOM. and then cries of my 4 year old niece falling from the monkey bars.
"Sophia!!" Justin jumped up and ran towards her and started hugging her. All I could hear was the screaming from her and her crying. I ran towards them and she crawled to me.
"Baby what happened?" I asked her rocking back an forth.
"That boy pushed me" she said.
just as she said that Justin got up and walked right over to the little boy.
"Where is your Daddy?" Justin asked the little boy.
"O-over t-there" the little boy pointed
Justin stomped over there and started yelling.
"WHAT THEHELL> YOU JUST LET YOUR LITTLEBOY PUSH LITTLE GIRLS TWICE HIS AGE OFF THE MONKEY BARS! LEARNT TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SON!!!!" he yelled.
"I-I'm sorry.. I wasn't w-watching." the man said
"Maybe watch him next time. Do you see her crying over there... I swear if she broke anything I will sue you!" He screamed.
then a woman came rushing up.
"No, no, no You cant do that We are broke as is. please don't." the women said crying.
"Sophia I need you to stay right here Auntie will be right back." I said.
"Auntie, my legs hurts I cant move it.' she said to me
shit I thought. " Just sit there"
I ran over to a screaming Justin, a crying woman, and a nervous looking Man.
"Justin.. Calm down" I said.
"NO! He probably fucking broke our kids leg!" he yelled at me. I was shocked one that he yelled he never yells at me, and two that he said our kid... its our niece.
"Justin.. That's not our kid.. its our niece." I said silently..
"I know.. that's not what I meant." he said.
"Lets go bring her to the hospital." I said ignore his gaze towards me.
"I swear buddy I wi-" just said before I cut him off.
"Justin! ENOUGH!" I yelled at him.
I pulled his arms towards where Sophia was he tried to pick her up but she cried and he gave her to me. He looked so sad, he was heartbroken that she rejected. We got her to the car and strapped her into her car seat, and drove off to the hospital which was an hour away.
