The serene sound of her footsteps
play on his head,
as he awaits the moment with every heart beat that reminds him of the truth.
A gush of emotions wash through,
as his eyes try to comprehend every little detail of what seems to be surreal.
There she comes with brilliance and elegance laced onto her appearance,
wearing vivid pastels that brings pride to the vibrant colours.
The ever lasting smile that plasters onto their faces as they make eye contact,
manipulates their jitters and welcomes renewed hope and trust making her heart feel lighter than ever she walks forth.
He holds her hand, which possesses
the intricate designs,
assuring never to let go as she makes her way next to him.
Tightening his grip on her hand,
he promised to never let go
because then he wouldn't just lose her hand,
but also release tears that reassemble
the happiness of his dream becoming reality or the pain of waking up to insanity.
