I sighed fondly as I sat in front of the gravestone with Jungkook's name carved on it.

It's been a year since he left this world.

A year since he left me.

"I still think of you. Every single day," I said, smiling. I placed the bouquet of white carnations on the soil.

I looked up at the sky, which was a light shade of blue, along with random shaped clouds.

"Sometimes, I still wake up and look to my side, as if hoping you were still here, cuddled with me," I said, chuckling at the countless number of times I've woken up, expecting Jungkook to be there beside me.

"But then reality hits me. And I remember that you're gone."

Even after a year, and I still couldn't learn to contain my tears.

"Kookie, I miss you so much."

I lightly brushed my hand over his name that was etched onto the gravestone.

"Maybe one day, I'll be able to make up for all the years we've missed out on, like you wished.

Maybe if the afterlife exists, I'll come find you.

You'll wait for me, won't you?"

I looked at the stone, as if waiting for an answering before smiling.

"Annyeong, Kookie. Taetae hyung will come back tomorrow, okay?"

I chuckled and began to stand up, lightly brushing off the dirt on my clothes.

I looked back at the gravestone one more time and smiled.

"Saranghae, Kookie."

A/N

This is the end of my first ever book that I never gave up on :') Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for the votes, comments and reads :)

I appreciate all the support I got and will definitely try to write more and better books ♡

Here are some fun facts about this book if you wanna know :3

1) I wrote chapter 12 - this chapter in a day (well, until 1am but I started in the afternoon or so okay 😤😂)

2) I was planning on taking out the car crash scenario, but in the end decided to put it in :)

3) there are signs that Jungkook was sick :3 in the first chapter, he faints not only because he met with taehyung, but also bc he found out recently that he was sick again, and it caused him a lot of trouble which made him mentally and physically exhausted.

Then, in later chapters, it's stated that taehyung did come home one night with a plastic bag (with meds, but tae didn't know) and was acting really suspicious.

Also, when tae got hurt and jk took care of him, he had to leave for an appointment with the doctor, which is why jin had to come over

4) ok this one's a sad one lol. So idk if you noticed, but tae says "saranghae, kookie" a lot bc he never got to say it one last time when jk was alive

5) the choice of flowers to place at the grave were usually lilies and roses, etc. So I looked up flowers that represent love and death and it gave me carnations so yea haha

6) Jin as jk's brother wasn't originally the plan, but I decided to include more members so yea there he is 😂

7) Jimin was originally gonna be the one who would comfort tae when jk dies, but that took a huge turn as well  and he became this random side character 😂

8) I cried writing this chapter

9) I decided to write this book out of boredom and bc a random plot came to my head and I was like "hey why not write this" and here I am.

10) for the second chapter, I wrote both tae and jk's pov to see which was better, so I technically wrote it twice 😂 (this is a helpful tip I use when I can't figure out which pov is better :3)
