(Gabriel's POV)

Lucifer left.  Dad knows what he was doing right now, but I had thoroughly kicked his arrogant ass after almost killing Nova.  Yes, almost.  She's still in the hospital, having the hole in her torso stitched up, while I nervously paced outside.  I was concerned for her health, but not as much as I was concerned about whether she would forgive me for what I had said.  It might sound harsh, but Nova's a tough girl, she would make it.

My breathing was irregular and I couldn't stop the worst-case scenarios from running through my brain.  I could feel my feathers shivering with fear at the thought that Nova now hated me.  She was stubborn and emotional.  Those things don't mix very well when I'm trying to keep her safe.

I jumped as a doctor exited her room. "Oh!  Who are you?" she asked.

"I'm her...boyfriend." she smiled at me and put her hand on my shoulder. "Is she going to be okay?"

"We're not sure yet.  Whatever she fell might give her tetanus.  We're not reallt sure right now.  So what did she fall on?"

"She didn't fall on anything.  She was stabbed..." the doctor's eyes widened a little.

"By who?"

"My brother.  He stabbed her with this." I handed her the angel blade, not even caring that she was staring at me like I was crazy.  She just took it and walked away quickly.  There were a few patients eyeing me weirdly.  I ignored them.

My eyes flew open and I sat up, my leg feeling tingly.  I looked around and realized that I fell asleep in a chair at the hospital.  I sighed and wondered what had caused me to wake up.  It took me a few seconds to realize someone was standing next to me.

"Hello, Gabriel." a young man with brown hair and blue eyes was smiling down at me.

"I'm sorry, do I know you?" I eyed him suspiciously.

He chuckled. "Gabe, I know we haven't seen each other in a while, but how could you forget your own father?"

I scoffed at him and stood up, stretching the sleep out of my body. "Yeah, right.  Cause you're God.  If that's the case then Nova's perfectly fine."

He smiled, which made me feel weird.  He lifted his hand and snapped his fingers.  In an instant, we were back in the Men of Letters' bunker, Nova right next to me, the wound in her stomach gone.

"Why here?!" my eyes flew open and I frantically looked around for any signs of Dean.  I couldn't seem to sense him anywhere.  But I could tell that Castiel was here.

That's when I noticed Nova.  Her eyes were wide and transfixed on the floor, her body shaking.

"Don't worry, nobody's here but us.  And Castiel." he snapped his fingers again and Castiel was standing right next to me.  We both jumped back.

"Gabriel?  What are you doing here?  And why did you bring Chuck Shurley?" he looked a little concerned, his blue eyes narrowed slightly.

"Damn, have all of my children forgotten me?" Chuck laughed.

"I'm so confused right now..."

~Wake Up, Gabey~

I groaned and opened my eyes.  Still a little confused, I looked around.  I was still in the hospital, but there was no Chuck.  Sighing, I realized that that meant that Nova was still here too, injured.  Guilt crept it's way up my spine.  I tried to force it down, but it kept creeping.  I eventually gave up and walked over to a window, staring down at the white snow that had started to fall.  For some reason, seeing snow always made me feel better about everything.  Probably because it's something that doesn't constantly screw up.

"Are you Gabriel?" I turn around as a young woman, probably an intern, approaches me.

"Yeah, I am.  What do you need?"

"Nova's going to be fine, but she's going to need to stay here for quite a while for the doctors to run some more tests, okay?" she smiled, which made me smile.  I nodded and left the hospital just to wander the streets till morning.  Hey, I'm an archangel, I don't need sleep.

Now it was my turn to wait.

~Le Time Skip~

I made it back to the hospital just in time for them to let me into Nova's room.  She was connected to a lot of different machines.  She looked deathly pale.  I reached her side and put my hand on her forehead gently in the hopes that I was strong enough to heal her.  I was not.  Apparently I was only strong enough to fly, but the fight with Lucifer had worn me out.

I tried not to think about what would happen once she woke up.  Would she be mad, or would she not even remember it?  Just thinking about it got me nervous.  And I don't get nervous!  I'm the Trickster, for Dad's sake!

My head dropped and I put my hand over hers.  I felt something inside me jump when I felt her hand move under mine.  I looked at her face, eyes wide.  She opened her eyes and blinked a few times before hugging her gently.  I felt her tense up and instantly thought I had hurt her.

"Nova, are you okay?  Did I hurt you?"

She stared at me weirdly. "Um...who are you?"

Lol I just love ending with a cliffhanger.  Gives me something to write about in the next chapter.  Again, sorry about the short chapter, I kind of ran out of ideas for this one.
