// Morning of Chaos //

She blinked, slow and gentle, her lashes acting like weights pulling her eyelids back down at each attempt to keep them open.
The sound was finally recognized, the obnoxious cries of the alarm clock.
Juvia let her head roll so her eyes locked with the red digits flashing on the display. 7:00.
First day of school...
Her whole body buzzed with emotions, the negative ones outnumbering the positive ones.
New people! - new judgment
Or
New experiences! - new bad habits
Or maybe just a few key words like
-fear
-regret
-unwanted attention
And the rest.

Juvia glanced at her window and was reminded of last night. She wondered for a moment what Gray was angry about, and what he was thinking when he gave her that umbrella, and what he thought about The Element Four - she wanted to know a lot about him. Too many questions this early in the morning...Juvia turned over to slam her fist down on the clock surface to stop the painful alarm sound. She couldn't see her face, but she knew that a blush was creeping up onto her pale cheeks at the thought of him. Juvia didn't want to blush for him, she didn't want to feel this way, but there was no stopping that power of curiosity that continued to cloud her senses.

Juvia walked down the long carpeted stair case, which reminded her of how different things are now. Her old stairs were a dark wood, however these stairs were covered in rich grey carpet which her bare feet seemed to sink into with each step.
It was a simple change, a change Juvia would much prefer to dwell on compared to the more 'social' changes in her life now.

She walked to the kitchen where her mother was pouring milk into a bowl of cereal. When she turned around from the marble counter her smile was large and genuine at the sight of Juvia. She quickly said eat up, handing Juvia the cereal, before hurrying out of the kitchen, to wake up Juvia's father no doubt. Juvia looked down at the cereal with a strange sense of happiness she hadn't felt in a long time, as if her first day of school was nothing to worry about.

Juvia ate the last bits of cereal on her spoon before returning it to the kitchen. On her way back upstairs she passed her father who looked like he could've done with some more sleep as he only managed a mumble of "morning" compared to Juvia's bright "hello!".

She lay her uniform on her bed and stood back to study it. It was a much nicer uniform than her old one. Fairy Tail High's uniform was a blazer uniform, like it was at Granite Bay, except nicer colours.
Instead of a dark green blazer, it was more of a dark blue nearly black colour.
Plus, her blazer bared the Fairy Tail High emblem which was sewn in white thread. She was also to wear the beige cardigan (or the vest when the weather becomes warmer) instead of her old grey cardigan she used to wear.
The skirt matched the colour of the blazer, that dark navy shade compared to her dark green skirt and she still had the same bow which tied round the collar of her shirt apart from it being blue and white striped rather than green and white striped.
Juvia had the option to wear either white or black socks, she was only used to being allowed black.

Juvia looked in the long mirror by the front door, now dressed in her new uniform. She twisted her body at many angles, checking every crease of her dark blazer, pulling her white socks a little higher making sure they're even, and adjusting her striped bow.

First day! - first impressions.

Juvia grabbed her black shoulder bag from the floor and swung it over so the strap rested across her body and the bag against her hip. "I'm going now, see you later," she called to her parents who replied with "Have a good day!" And "We love you!"

Her pale fingers wrapped around the door handle and she pulled open the door. After closing it behind her Juvia made her way to the end of the small path so she was onto the pavement. She checked her watch. She had about a fifteen minute walk from her house to the school, she had planned to have her parents drop her off but once they start working that won't always be the case. So, after finding the route on her phone, Juvia decided she would make her own way there.
