They had finally let me leave the hospital after me continuously telling them that I was fine.
I walked out into the waiting room where Shawn and Ariana were waiting for me. "We were so worried!" She shouted as she gave me a hug. I winced a little, my ribs were still sore. "Sorry."
"It's okay, I'm okay," I smiled, then frowned. "Is Mikey okay?"
They both shrugged, I went back over to the front counter and asked about seeing Mikey, they pointed towards room 4D, the door right next to the room I was in.
Walking over I felt scared. What if Mikey was really hurt. I twisted the door open.
Little beeps and sounds of soft machinery noises filled the room. Mikey laid in bed with his foot propped up. He was sleeping. I sat down in the chair next to his bed and sighed.
"Oh Mikey," I sighed. I used my finger to brush his hair out of his face. He was bruised like I was.
He started coughing and opening his eyes.
"Austin?"
"Yeah Mikey?"
"Am I dead, are you an angel?"
"Oi, stop it!" I laughed. He took my hand and held it.
"Austin I'm so sorry, I should have been more careful. I was so caught in the moment and-"
"Mikey, it's okay," I smiled.
He sighed, "are you hurt?"
"Nothing major," I said. "Just cuts and bruises. Are you?"
"I sprained my ankle and hurt my left arm pretty bad. But nothing that won't heal," he sighed. "I'm so sore."
"Me too."
We sat there in the silence of the room, besides the occasional beeps of the machines. "I love you," he whispered.
"I love you too."

The usual group was sitting around at lunch. Dove and Allison on opposite ends, Viv and Alicia in between them.
"Hey guys," I said sitting down with my lunch. I had just gotten to school. I skipped the first few periods to visit Mikey at the hospital.
"How're you feeling?" Allison asked me.
"A lot better," I answered. It's been a few days since the crash actually happened. "Still sore though."
"When are they letting Mikey out?" Viv asked as she took a bite of her sandwich.
"The doctors said he was good to go out today. His arms in a sling but his ankle healed quick."
Lunch went on with the little small talk from the table. The rest of the day carried on as well. Surprisingly it was a calm day. Not much really had been happening, at least not anything I know of. It was nice to not have to worry about what was going on.
Allison and I walked into English. Mrs. Hapher was supposedly sick so we had a substitute teacher. I'm sure everyone knows the drill with subs, you do what you want.
The classroom was a mad house, and the sub, who never even told us his name, sat behind the desk on his phone.
We sat down at our desks and set our stuff beside.
"Austin? Is that a love note!" Allison said pointing to a folded piece of pink paper with my name on it.
I chuckled. "Yeah right," I said as I picked it up. Who would even think to write me a love note. I unfolded it:
Austin,
A second chance would mean everything.
Please, I'm so sorry.
xxxI gave the note to Allison so she could read it as well and glanced over at Jackson who was clearing watching me read it. He quickly readjusted his gaze when he saw me looking at him.
"What are you going to do?" Allison asked.
"I don't know," I was questioning myself. "We need a third opinion."
I got my phone out and called Dove.
"Hello?"
"Dove, this is a emergency. Come to Mrs. Hapher's room."
"On my way."
I laughed. How dramatic are we?

I sat facing Jackson. Allison was on my right and Dove on my left. We called Viv and Alicia down as well, they stood behind us.
"Go for it boo," Dove said. "Give him the chance."
"I say no go," Viv said. "After he did what he did."
"Yeah, and what about Mikey?" Allison said.
Alicia grinned. "Mikey's not here now is he? I don't see him?"
"Come on, at least talk to him," Dove said.
"Yeah, he knows we are talking about him," Allison said "we are all looking at him."
"I'm going over there," I said. I got up and walked in his direction. Viv slapped my butt and they all starting snickering behind me.
I took a seat next to him and smiled a little. "I got your note," I simply said. Wow. Smooth Austin. Real smooth.
"I kinda figured," he said, scratching the back of his head. "What did you discuss in your little girl talk?"
I smacked his arm but laughed. "They basically said for me give you another chance."
"Wise friends," he grinned. He took my hands and held them in his.
"Not so fast there Mr. Speedy," I said taking my hands back. "There's still Mikey."
Jackson's smile turned into a frown at the mention of Mikey. "He's no good for you Austin!"
"Jackson you can't just say that, I have to determine that for myself," I said. "I have give him his chance too."
"So that's a no?" He frowned.
"As of now, yes." I thought for a second. "But, I am willing to offer a experience that is just as great!"
"Which is?"
"Friends. I need a friend that's a guy, girls are prissy," I motioned to the others sitting always from us. Jackson chuckled. "So, Friends?" I asked sticking my hand out.
He took my hand and shook it. "Friends," He smiled.
"Come on and sit with us!" I cheered dragging him over to everyone else. Our lunch table just got one booty fuller.

"I'm home!" I sang to running inside.
Ariana and Shawn walked in, both giving me kiss on the head. They looked strange like something was going on. "How was school?"
"Fine and dandy actually, it was a good day," I grinned. "But what's going on? Somethings up?"
"Austin someone's here to see you," Shawn said. He motioned towards the door that led to the kitchen and it slowly opened, revealing someone I never thought I'd have to see again.
"Austin," his deep voice said in almost a whisper.
My heart sank. "Dad?"
