"Austin, you just missed the bus!" my older brother's girlfriend, Ariana, shouted from downstairs.

I came running down the stairs, tripping on the last step, luckily having my older brother, Shawn, break my fall. "How late did you sleep in?" He asked.

"Well, five minutes turned into fifteen, and then it just goes on from there," I laughed as Shawn rolled his eyes.

"Well we can't drive you today love. We have a meeting to go to with the board of Westport. We are trying to get another job out here," Ariana said.

"That's fine. It's not far, I can walk," I said grabbing my bag off the table, and taking an apple for breakfast. "Besides, we just moved here, it would be nice to take in some of the scenery."

"Alright, well you better go, you're not going to want to be late on your first day," Shawn laughed. "See you after school."

"Be good," Ariana said and kissed the top of my head. "Make new friends and be nice to everyone because we are going to be staying here for a while."

"Our forever home?" I asked and both of them nodded their heads yes. "You said that about the last seven places we lived at."

"Well they always say, eight times a charm," Shawn grinned. I rolled my eyes.

"Now off to school. Don't be late! Make new friends and be nice to all the teachers. Make a good impression," Ariana shouted at me as I headed out the door. "Have a good day! We love you!"

"I love you too!" I shouted back before taking off down the sidewalk, and heading towards my new school:

Westport High School.

•••

I went up to the front walk way of the school. All the other kids were swarming into the building. They all seemed to know exactly where they were going, and I was just lost.

It was a big school. It looked really fancy, which it was. The whole town seemed to be fancy. Rich town, rich school, rich kids. The town was right on the beach, so it had that "beachy" feel to it. It was like something out of a movie.

"Woah watch where you're going," some boy said, as he brushed himself off as if he fell on the ground, which he didn't, and headed towards where he had been going. I was so lost in thought that I didn't even realize I bumped into him. He seemed like a jerk anyways.

"Never mind him," some girl said coming up to me. "That's Hunter. He's a big jerk."

"I see that," I laughed.

"You look new here, are you?" The girl asked and I nodded. "Allison Kirk, nice to meet you." She said in a funny tone.

"Austin Gontalla. The pleasure is all mine," I gave a cheesy grin. We shook hands.

"Make way people, I'm walking here," a girl said, making her way over to Hunter. She was dressed in a lot of pink, tight clothes, and had big sunglasses on. Two girls that dressed almost exactly the same walked closely behind her.

"That's Dove, she's like the biggest fake in this entire school," Allison said rolling her eyes.

"Biggest fake?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yeah. She just wants whatever is going to make her look good," she said and I glanced over and watched her flirt with the Hunter boy. It was like she was basically shoving her boobs in his face. I rolled my eyes as well. "Those two girls are Gee and Victoria. Dove's fake side hoes."
