Memories

It had been a month since the dreams started. Collin could single handily remember each one as if he had lived through them and were stained in his memory like wine on a white shirt. He also wasn't particularly fond of them either. The dream that followed each night was more graphic than the one he had from last night. Some were a bloody mess, others were too graphic that caused certain anatomys to rise in the mornings. Overall these dreams weren't something he took to heart or took seriously. A dream was just his imagination gone wild.

Collin woke up sweating in his bed, the sheets drenched in his perspiration. Tonight was one of those nights, where the dream just seemed to real for him.

In this particular dream he is running into a burning house, screaming out someone's name repeatedly. The beams from the ceiling start to cave in as he tries to dodge the flames as well as the falling wood. His body begins to heat up, his lungs start to burn up as well as his eyes. Collin realizes that his body is beginning to fail him but he refuses to give up his wild goose chase. He then hears someone call out his name. A female in fact, whose voice is being muffled by the burning building surrounding them. Collin runs after the voice which leads him up the stairs.

Between the smoke and the flames, he sees the outlines of a person in the middle of a vast area on the second floor. Though he can't see clearly because of the smoke he concludes the only reason the person can't move is because they've been tied down. As he takes a step further into the room to help the female, he feels the floor give away underneath him, throwing his body into the raging flames. Though before he becomes face-to-face with death himself, he hears the words, "I love you Collin!"

He then wakes up every time. By every time he means that this isn't the first time he had this dream. If he can correctly remember, this is the fourth time. Though Collin doesn't want to see the seriousness of it because that means that he is acknowledging that the dreams were trying to tell him something. Something that was bigger than him and he didn't have the time for such analogies. He had better things to do like take care of his pack.

Collin wakes up to do his daily duties. He is the alpha of the Blood Rise Pack. His pack is the strongest pack of all USA and the second biggest pack in USA. All because of him and his father.

Collin had been born in a rogue pack. His father and his mother being the Luna and Alpha of the pack. As soon as his father, Thomas, found out that his mate, Maria, was going to give him a pup he decided to change his wild ways for something more stable. Of course this caused many fights between the pack and chaos erupted but in the end the pack was no longer recognized as a rogue pack by the Moon Goddess herself.

She was so proud of Thomas for changing his wild creature ways for an act where it showed that rogues and werewolves can live in peace. The Moon Goddess even blessed the pack with victories and protection. With that Thomas used that sort of power to grow and control the werewolf world and take it by storm. Thomas was also not a cruel or despot leader. He was kind, smart and forgiving when needed to be.

When Thomas died from being shot with silver bullets from werewolf hunters, Collin took after his father and was crowned the Alpha. Maria never really recovered from the murder as well as Collin- as she didn't even attend the ceremony-but Collin vowed from that day on that he would protect the people he loved. If that meant protecting them from himself then he would do it.

Collin made it downstairs to finish up some pack work in his office. He loved being alone in his big house. Sometimes the silence helped him think and relax. Collin was not stressed at being mate-less at the tender age of 31. In his case (being an alpha and all) he was supposed to be with a mate between the ages of 15-25. His beta Jackson found his mate at the age of 20. Collin's Gamma found his at the age of 14. Though both parties never brought it up, Collin could sense their worry. If Collin were to not find a mate soon, his wolf would go rogue. Not just the mere crazy rogue but the psychotic side.

He entered into his office, his feet softly padding across the wooden floor towards his big oak desk. Well, he could no longer see the desk due to all the papers on it and the books surrounding the desk. Always promising he would clean up the mess yet he never does or finds the time to do it.

This is when a mate could come in handy. Damn... A women at your beck and call all the time? Count me in!

Few hours later when he's deep in work his phone rings. He starts to push some papers off the desk to try and locate the roaring lion ring tone to switch it off.

Why the hell would Jack be phoning at 3am for? Jesus, didn't he have stuff to do? Like play hanky panky with his wife?

"What do you want Jay? Your mate isn't giving you some?" Collin said when he answered the phone.

"Red Falk Pack has been intercepted and taken over." was Jackson's reply. He sounded breathless as if he had been running a long distance.

Collin stood up and hurried through the front door in his pajamas to meet Jackson.

"Intercepted by who?" Collins demanded. He was not going to have some rogue pack take over his father's first victory in one night. That was near to impossible but whoever did it did it. Now it was time for them to face their maker.

Jackson sighed and with anguish said, "You not gonna like that answer Rush."

"Would you stop getting on my nerves for one second and tell me?"

"It was...it was an evil coven. " after saying that, Jackson fell quiet. Collin then stopped in his tracks and looked up to the sky.

"Oh.God."
