Collin wasn't one for traveling. The cherry on top of his crap sundae was that he wasn't overly fond of being too high off the ground. Being high off the ground meant more delay of his death if the plane was to ever stop working. He was impatient and if it was up to him on how his death should be, it would be quick and easy. He hated wasting time, especially on useless things.
"How long till landing?" demanded Collin
His best friend laughed and called one of the air hostess to tell him the time. The pretty blonde with never ending legs approached the Alpha and made a show of bending forward to reveal her slight cleavage. Collin decided to ignore her attempts of getting his attention and listened to her high pitched voice.
" Two hours till landing Alpha Collin. Would you like anything else? Maybe something to calm your nerves?" she batted her eyelashes as she spoke.
" One more thing. Try and get a shirt that fits you, not a size smaller than that. You're an air hostess, not a stripper. " Collin confidently spoke looking straight into her baby blue eyes.
The leggy blonde widened her eyes in embarrassment, her cheeks stained with red, walked away with an apology left behind. Her co-worker Adam chuckled quietly at the Alpha's blunt words. It was about time someone put her in place. Who better for the job than the Alpha?
Jackson watched the whole exchange with amusement. He knew that Collin never liked the blondes, especially the the desperate ones. Collin had not found his mate yet- though he would never admit to it- which made him more grumpy as time went on.
He remembered when he was like that. He would always snap at someone, pull them down, doing his very best to beat another wolf to a pulp at training when he got the chance to. This worsened nearer the time he would meet his lovely mate. Of course at the time he thought he was PMSing. This was normal behavior in the Werewolf Society that a man go through this before he met his mate. He had forgotten all about that.
But it didn't matter as soon as he saw her. She was working in a small cafe in the next town. She looked like an utter mess. Her red-maroon dreadlocks in a messy bun, her chocolate skin glowing. Her uniform covered in all sorts of baking ingredients. She was working the counter all by herself when he walked in during lunch time.
For lunch time everything was lethargic. The customers were slowly trinkling in, the service was comfortably cosy and attentive and nothing was in a rush. Except for his heart. He couldn't breath but his heart was working overdrive. He never felt like that before. In that moment he got addicted to her. Her smile, her red lips, her strong personality and overall her heart. He never let her go and this year they would celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary.
Now it seemed that it was the same path that Collin was taking. He hadn't realized it yet but he would soon enough.
"I can't believe we have to go all the way to Africa to ask for help." grumbled Collin as he fixed his seat to rest for the remaining hours of their flight.
"That's what happens when you want help from the strongest witch coven in the world Collin." Jackson says as he sent an I love you text to his wife.
His wife answers with a smiley face. This instantly puts a smile on his face.Collin glances at Jackson as his phone vibrates, he can't help but feel annoyed at his loved-up smile, "Could you do me a favor and stop smiling. It's creeping me out."
"I can't wait for you to become whipped just like me." Jackson says while ignoring his request.
Collin gets comfortable as he says "Yeah well keep waiting because it's never gonna happen."
"Rush, that's what they all say."
