Chapter 1: The Game

Y/N's POV

It's another day of torment. Me and my friends are at school waiting for the school bell to ring to signal lunch time, the hole thing was boring since all the teacher did was talk and all we did was either listen, daydream or doze off to sleep, either way no one cares what the teacher was discussing about. I mean, who likes algebra anyway? I mean, besides Starflight (what a nerd.)

~Time Skip (lunch break)~

As Chrono started chewing on his food and everyone else feasting on their own food, I sat down beside them looking at the sky.

Chrono: "What's the matter (y/n)? Aren't you hungry?"

Me: "Huh?" *looks at Chrono confused* "oh, I'm fine. I was just thinking about something."

Glory: *swallows her sandwich* "about what?"

Me: "Oh you know, the usual."

Starflight: "By you mean 'usual' I take it you mean about our favorite cartoon."

Me: *looks at Starflight* "yeah, that's exactly what I mean! I am SO exited to see what the new season will be about. Do you guys think they're still going to put Eggman as the villein?"

Glory: "Of cores they will, Dr. Eggman is the shows most famous super villein."

Kazelma: "And he's the coolest villein in that show ever! Just a bit second best from Mephiles."

Glory: "Yeah, I'll admit he's a good villein but I'm in the hero's vote and speaking of them I say Silver's the coolest hero in that show," *giggles* "he'd be the best hero ever if they gave him, his own show."

Chrono: "No way! Sonic is the coolest hero in that show, that's why the show's about him and why he's the hero in it."

Starflight: "I think you two are delusional..."

Chrono and Glory: "Huh?" *looks at Starflight confused*

Starflight: "If you ask me Espio is the best character in that show, he has all the brains and I for one am also in Tails's vote since he too has brains. The hero needs more than just powers, muscle and speed you know. They also need brains."

Chrono: "Says the guy that has a crush on Rouge!"

Glory: "And that bat is already seductive when it comes to her looks."

Me and Kazelma: *say in our minds* "I'm surprise he didn't even vote for her to be the hero of the show."

Starflight: "Shut up! You two don't know anything about her! True she looks seductive but inside her head she's actually a computer genius, and she secretly works for the government."

Me and Kazelma: *say in our minds* "he says it's only in her head so it's only in her head."

The hole argument about who makes the best hero in the Sonic X show went on forever and almost half of lunch time. Seriously what is up with these guys and that show? Pff, like I'm one to talk though, the only character there I see that makes a cool hero is Shadow the Hedgehog. It's not like I have a crush on him or anything I just like him because he's cool and he's my type of guy.

~Time Skip (after school)~

School has finally come to its end and I was already heading home with my friend when we all suddenly notice a Sonic X video game posted outside a game store.

Chrono: "A Sonic X game? What's this all about?"

Starflight: "Well there is suppose to be a new season of the show so this must be a way of promoting it."

Chrono: "You really think so?"

Starflight: "No, but there's no other reason for it."

Me: "Alright. Let's go check this new game out!"

Chrono look back at Starflight first before looking back at me with a confused look.

Chrono: "Are you sure (y/n)? We don't even know if this game is worth it."

Kazelma: "Yeah."

Glory: "Remember that book we all wanted? We bought it but it turned out that we all didn't even like the story in it."

Starflight: "We'd just be waisting our money."

Me: "But something tells me that this game is special and for some strange reason... it feels like... it's calling to me..."

Third Person's POV

There was silence amongst the friends for a moment before a gust of wind had blew by them and a voice was heard.

???: "Come humans... come to me. Show me your true potentials."

All except (y/n): *Gasp!*

Chrono: "What... was that?"

Starflight: "You mean you heard it too?"

Glory: "Who's voice was that?"

Kazelma: "And why does it want us to go to it?"

(Y/N): "I don't know but something tells me it has something to do with this game, so I say we buy it."

All except (y/n): *nods*

~Time Skip (at your house)~

Y/N's POV

We arrived at my house since it was the closes place we can find. While Starflight and Chrono were putting the game on my computer me and the others contacted Emi to come over and join us on playing the game, at first she wanted to try and decline but once we mentioned it was about the show: Sonic X she immediately said 'yes' without any more hesitation.

~Time Skip (2 min later)~

Emi had arrived at my house and the game was all set to be played.

Emi: "Alright. So how do we play this game?"

Me: "I don't know actually."

Glory: *looks at Starflight and Chrono* "you two were the ones who put this up so how do we play it?"

Chrono: "Honestly, I don't know either."

Starflight: *nods* "the game absolutely has no instructions whatsoever, it just says how to put it all together."

Kazelma: "THEN HOW THE HELL ARE WE SUPPOSE TO PLAY IF WE DON'T EVEN KNOW KNOW HOW TO START IT!!!"

Chrono: "HOW SHOULD I KNOW?!?! AND STOP YELLING AT ME, I'M NOT DEAF!!!"

Glory: "Guys stop it."

As I sadly listen to my friends arguing I notice some kind of strange light coming from the screen of my computer and it definitely wasn't because my computer was just on.

Me: "Guy...?"

There were no answers from any of them.

Me: "Guys...?!"

Still no answers.

Me: "GUYS!!!"

All except Emi: "WHAT?!?!"

Emi notices the screen of my computer and gasp with her hands in front of her mouth. Finally.

Emi: "Look!" *points st the screen*

Everyone's head turns to the screen including mine and we all saw the light getting bigger and brighter then once the light was too bright for any of us to see anything we immediately shielded our eyes and I felt something strange run down my body like a bolt of lightning.

Third Person's POV

As the friends felt a strange feeling run down their bodies they didn't realise that they were already being taken to another world, one that they might find rather familiar.
