Chapter 6: Go To Sleep

Y/N's POV

Sonic was nice enough to let us stay at his house since we didn't exactly had a place to go to. Even though Shadow, Silver and Zeon are also staying with him at the same house. (This has to be awkward)

As the night swings by on us Shadow and I stayed awake throughout the night. We share the same room since there was an extra bed in his room, Silver's having Glory as a roommate (that must had gotten her exited), Starflight and Chrono are roommates in one of the guestrooms (talk about bad news) and Zeon was nice enough to have Emi as his roommate since he too had an extra bed in his room like Shadow and Silver. Sonic's sleeping solo since he only has one bed in his room and according to him, he wasn't exactly a fan of having a roommate. (Like any of us are either)

???: "Shouldn't you be in bed by now, sleeping?"

I turn my head to the source of the voice and found Shadow looking at me with his red eyes looking at my (e/c) eyes directly like flying daggers. I sadly look down to avoid eye contact and folded my legs up to my chest while wrapping my arms around them so they wouldn't go down again. I was sitting on the windowsill, looking at the moon outside the window. Doing this always helps me when I'm feeling sad and right now I'm feeling rather sad since it was my idea to buy the Sonic X game in the first place and getting all of my friends here, once more, I can't stop myself from feeling the slightest pinch of jealousy of my friends new powers. Sigh! At least Emi still doesn't have her powers too, that's a relief.

Shadow: "If you're getting jealous because of your friends you shouldn't be."

Me: *looks at Shadow confuse*

Shadow: "Jealousy will only make your situation worse and it will lead you to darkness," *looks at me* "so don't be jealous. You'll get your powers soon." *softly smiles at me* "and when you do I'm sure it'll be the coolest power you've ever seen."

Me: *softly smiles at Shadow* "thanks Shadow."

Shadow: "Anytime. Now will you go to sleep."

Me: "Why? Is me being awake bother you?"

Shadow: "Yes."

Me: "Why?"

Shadow: *cross arms and looks away* "you don't deserve to know the answer."

Me: "We're talking about me so I think I have every rights to know what you mean!"

Shadow: "Tch! I'm not telling you"

Me: *smirks evilly* "fine. Be that way. I'm not going to sleep."

I averted my gaze from Shadow and return to my business looking at the moon.

Shadow's POV

I couldn't believe what she said, it shocked me. I looked at her with that shock expression and watch her for a moment as she looks out the window. My bed's at the right side of the room next to the wall while her bed is in the left side at the same spot where my bed is, the window's in between both our beds. As I look at (y/n) a bit more properly as she looks out the window with her head turned away from me it makes me realise how pretty she is... I think?

Me: *sigh (but not in defeat)* "you're seriously not going to sleep are you?"

(Y/n): "Nope."

Me: *says in mind* "she's obviously doing this to have me tell her what she wants to know but too bad for her I'm not telling her. But then again, she's not going to stop and she's too stubborn so she'll probably stay up all night," *sigh* "either way it's my defeat." *says out loud* "alright, alright if I tell you what you want to know will you stop and go to sleep."

(Y/n): *looks at me and nods*

Me: *sigh! (In defeat)* "tomorrow's going to be quite a day for you and your friends since we'll be having Tails's help us solve your problem of going back to where you came from and why you and Emi don't have powers like the others so I want you to get enough rest for tomorrow's test with Tails."

Y/N's POV

I couldn't believe it... Shadow the Hedgehog, the most ice hearted guy in the show is actually worried about me and wanted to look after me? That's a new thing to add in the history books in my brain that's for sure. But still, I got off the windowsill, close the window and went to sleep on my bed but first... I went over to Shadow and kiss him on the cheek. He's cheeks were so red that I giggle! I put one hand in front of my mouth in a first form to avoid laughing and rush over to my bed and finally sent to sleep.

Me: *whisper* "goodnight Shadow*

That was the last thing I said before everything came to darkness, and I fell asleep.
