Before I could even register my visit to the court so non-magic citizens can keep track of us all, I am dragged away by two heavily armed guards. Everyone around me is standing and staring at me and many other mages being taken always by heavily armed guards.

The guards take us into a room that I didn't even know existed in the court! They then proceeded to chain us to chairs that prevented any us from using our magical skills.

"Now is the time we need you, our mages," said by none other than the greatest swordswoman in all of Fyirin, General Vesperr!

"The Lonion is not as powerful as ours and will not stand victorious, the Nadan army is closer matched to our tactical and practical ability," Her voice boomed throughout the room.

How has a small disagreement between the three cities turned into such a war that they have started kidnapping mages and to try and convince them to fight and ultimately die because of how weak we are when it comes to our defences?

"You must help us protect the Royals! If they are killed in this war to come, then there will be no hope stopping this war!"

Oh lords above how has this world being ruined so much that it has come to this! Protecting people who have enslaved us for centuries just because they promise us freedom and hope!

"You mean the Royals who tortured us for centuries and treated us like wild animals and monsters?" Shouted from a female mage across from me.

General Vesperr baffled and furious by the confidence of this powerful mage, steps towards her and holds an incredibly sharp blade to her neck, looking around to other mages she says:

"Anyone else want to disrespect your Royal saviours? Good,"

Everyone else and even the guards remained silent after the remark. Vesperr proceded to slowly walk around the room with her boots thundering loudly on the wooden flooring.

Someone in a very clean and sleek white coat came into the room with a clipboard in hand and started writing something down. Moving from person to the next, they started asking their name and what abilities they have, I never knew how powerful some of these mages are! There were some with powers to manipulate a persons mind, and make anything explode! When the person gets to the female Mage that called out General Vesperr before, mutters her name and ability so only they can hear her. The person in the lab coat nearly faints after they hear what her ability is.

"Excuse me General Vesperr but this made could become incredibly useful in this fight as they can somehow bring others back to life..."

Vesperr looks in disbelief as there has not been a single Mage with that power for centuries.

"Take her to the room, and anyone else who possess a similar power," General Vesperr demanded.

Everyone lists there name as ability on and on until they get to me, I give my and power:

"Anorra Shlac, s-soul be-bender," I mutter as quietly as possible so only they can hear.

They look at me and then at my hands to check for my mark, in shock they just usher two guards to take me into the room. Eyes are glaring at me as I meet who will become an important part of my life.
