Rachel POV
After I end the call with Finn I walk back into the living room to see Damon reading a book closely. When he noticed me he put down the book and took off his glasses.
"Thank god, that book was getting the better of me" he said rubbing his eyes
"Can I ask you something?" I say sitting down
"Shoot" he replies shortly allowing me to ask my question
"What happened between you and Finn?" I ask looking at him cautiously
He picked up the book again and started reading whilst thinking of a response to my question
"Just some stuff that happened years ago, oh and by the way tell finn I said hello the next time he phones you" he said before getting up and exiting the room
I didn't know how he heard that it was finn, that's creepy because I went outside and I could see him eavesdropping through the transparent doors. Maybe it was just a guess.
I don't know if he's pissed with me, he seemed pissed and he's kinda keeping from me and his past a secret for some reason. It's none of my business but it would help if I knew.
I decide to just sit on my phone and play games since I've got nothing else to do with my time at the moment.
Should I text Finn? I don't want him finding out that I'm with Damon because that will probably erupt a volcano between them both, so probably not, but I can't just sit here.
I've probably pissed Damon off, I really want to know what happened and how he heard me. That's really annoying.
I could still hear Stefan and Elena fucking next door, god that's just ewwww. I wonder where Damon is. Well it's a pretty big house, anywhere he could be.
Finn sounded really sorry, I'm stupid to forgive him so easily but it was something inside me that told me to accept his apology.
He better never do that again
Next thing I know Damon walks back into the room, not saying a word
None of us spoke and it was extremely awkward, finally Damon spoke.
"I'm sorry I snapped" he said looking at me
"I'm sorry for prying, it's none of my business" I say honestly
"There's nothing to hide, a couple of years ago finn and me loved the same woman, she was two faced, she slept with me and Finn at the same time. We both eventually clicked on and she had to pick one of us. She picked him. I was depressed because they looked so happy and then there was me in the shadows" he explained with no emotion
"Thank you for telling me, honestly. So where is she? Finn is single" I ask
"Well, I'll get to that. They eventually got married and she got pregnant. One day she tried to stab me but I pushed her and she fell into the side of the counter, hitting her stomach. She started pouring out blood and Finn ran in. He phoned an ambulance. When she woke up, she got the news that she had lost the baby and Blamed it on me. I tried to explain to him but he insisted that I done that. Ever since then me and him haven't spoke" he said pouring another glass of bouborn for me and him
Oh my god, that's terrible, they haven't spoke in years.
"One more question" I ask
He nodded
"How did you hear me on the phone?" I ask, this is the question that had been running through my mind all night
"That's a secret" he winked giving me the glass
"Seriously?" I say annoyed
"Seriously" he repeated smirking
Sometimes I wanted to slap him
"What would you do if you were to see him?" I cautiously ask
"I'm not one for making a scene so I'd probably just walk the other way. Did you and Finn date?" He asked
"Well kinda for like 3 days, He's my teacher tho, it's wrong" I say honestly
"Love is love" he said simply
"Damon you will find love if you wait long enough" I say
"Nah, it's all a load of superstition" he replied
Was he right?
Damon and I talked for another few hours before he showed me to the guest bedroom, it was nice. He told me If I needed anything just to ask him and help myself to anything in the fridge.
Damon is a really nice guy when you get to know him.
I hope him and Finn patch things up
I start to drift off to sleep, when I'm almost sleeping I hear a noise in the room but I'm too tired to look
It was like footsteps of a male, I open my eyes to see finn
My eyes are wide awake now, how did he know I was here? What if Damon finds him?
All of these questions are running through my mind
"Hey beautiful, sorry to wake you" he said sitting beside me in the bed, I was sitting straight up.
"How the hell did you know I was here?" I whisper shout
"Calm down, I have my ways" he smiles
"Well I don't like 'your ways' finn" I say
"You almost gave me a heart attack" I add on with me having a heart attack motion
"I'm sorry babe" he smirks again
I just give him the 'dont piss me off' look
"What's up?" He asks
"You do know your brother is in the other room and has amazing hearing" I say
"Ah, you've met Stefan and Damon then?" He asks again
"Yes, I know that you and Damon aren't exactly in good terms" I explain
"He told you?" He looked at me
"Yes....." I trail off
"Wow that doesn't sound like Damon at all, he's the secret one out of us 3" he says in disbelief
I just look at finn
"Is this a dream?" I ask
"No, your not dreaming" he laughs getting closer and closer
Our lips were inches apart
"Finn really?"'I whisper
"I've missed you" he says whispering also
"It's only been a couple of hours" I say
"I'm sorry for what I done" he apologises
I close the gap between us both and kiss him passionately as I feel the taste of his lips on mine
This is going to be an interesting night
