There's this fun shady activity that everyone seems to be doing lately on Wattpad and I'm here to tell you why it sucks.
When someone asks me to critique their story, sometimes I'm sent to a story written by someone else. Like the names don't match at all.
Which sends alarm bells ringing in my head 'cause all I can hear is "PLAGIARISM!!! THIS BASTARD IS TRYING TO MAKE ME CORRECT A PLAGIARIZED COPY OF SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK!!! HOLY SHIT WHAT DO I DO NOW?!?! Act cool, act cool.... 'So, I noticed that this story doesn't seem to written by you. What's up with that?' "
To which they always answer, "Oh, that's just my new account."
In case you can't see me, I'm doing the Jackie Chan WTF face.
Seriously though, what the fuck?
No one should have two accounts open at the same time. Close your old account before you go get a new one for whatever reason.
When you have two open and ask me in one account to check out what's on the other account while claiming the story as your own, I freak the fuck out. Because the only reason I could ever see anyone needing two open accounts at the same time would be if I had plagiarized shit on one account and my own stuff on the other.
There is no other feasible reason to have two open accounts.
If you've got one logical, non-plagiarizing reason, please enlighten me. 'Cause the excuses I've heard all sounded like bullshit.
