Get ready for some fluff ;) hope you enjoy xx
Harry quickly threw a sweater over his head and dashed into the living room. He tried to flatten his hair by running his fingers through it, but that only made it stick up more. He didn't pay any attention to it and turned to Malfoy. "You want to join us for dinner?"
"What? You and your Gryffindor friends?" Malfoy asked, rolling his eyes. "No, thank you." The truth was, he wouldn't mind. But he was falling behind on homework, and there were three formulas for potions he still had to complete. He felt the heavy weight of stress on his mind, distracting him from anything.
Harry shook his head. "You haven't eaten all day," he argued. "Have some fun, why don't you?"
"I can't!" Draco yelled. "Don't you SEE me drowning in homework right now?!"
Harry frowned. "Just don't let yourself go hungry."
"That's inevitable, Potter," Malfoy said. "I'm a terrible cook."
Harry shook his head and quickly walked out the door.
.................
"He's not coming?" Hermione asked.
Harry shook his head disappointedly. "Nope. I asked."
"That's okay, he must be really stressed out," Hermione said sympathetically. "I understand, honestly- he probably feels like this is an opportunity of a lifetime."
"Yeah, but if he'd just relax every once in a while-"
"'Sup, mate?" Ron greeted him, thumping Harry on the back. "How's it going?"
"Fine," Harry said, grinning. "How about you?"
"Oh, good," Ron said. "Where should we eat?"
................
"Malfoy!" Harry called as he entered the apartment.
It was well past eleven, but Draco was still hunched on an armchair, studying. "What is it, Potter?"
"I brought you this," Harry said, dropping a sandwich into Draco's lap. "Please, eat."
Draco looked at Harry suspiciously. "Did you hex it?"
"What? No!" Harry laughed. "Stop being such a git, Malfoy, geez."
As Harry went off to change, Malfoy called to him, "I don't need to be babied, Potter."
"Your choice, really," Harry called back. "But it's there if you want it."
Malfoy scowled and walked over to the counter. dropping the sandwich and his book onto it. He sat there for a while until he was sure Harry had gone to bed. Then he carefully pulled back the plastic wrapping and took a bite. It wasn't bad, he thought, and finished the sandwich while he read.
