'How could I forget' he thought to
himself as he stared at the elder's slim back. He sat where he and Jungkook once were a week before they found Jimin, legs dangling above the water, and surrounding him were multiple bottles of of beer and soju. He slowly began to make his way towards Taehyung, but he easily felt his presence before he got too close.

"Fuck off Jungkook" he said, he was well aware that only Jungkook knew he liked to hang out there when he was overthinking and needed to clear his mind. However, Jungkook's face was the last one he needed to see.

"Hyung, let me explain and apologize abo-" he stopped talking when Taehyung stood up on his feet and snapped his body towards Jungkook.

"No, let me explain. . . you went ahead and had the time of your life while you threw me off to the side like shit. But it's alright Mr. Jeon Jungkook because this will be the first and last time you ever treat me like this" his words came out slurred as he spoke, a clear indication that he hadn't taken a break from drinking all night. He pushed past him, making sure to shove Jungkook as he walked away.He made his way back home, but his steps were messy and Jungkook took notice of this.

"He's gonna pas-" but before he could finish that sentence, what he was gonna say was exactly what happened. He stumbled over his feet and tripped over a rock that was conveniently placed there at the right time. He fell face first into the metal ground, or so he was about to until Jungkook gripped his waist before he could hit the hard surface. Taehyung was out cold and limp in Jungkook's arms.

"Alright, time to get you home" he said as he picked up said boy bridal style and made his way to their home.

Taehyung stirred in his sleep, something cold pressed against his forehead and a delicious smell filling his nose. He opened his eyes and a dim light flooded his sight. He sat up and looked in the direction of where the light was coming from. Sure enough, there Jungkook stood with his back facing him, a light hum coming from him as he sang to himself. He got up and walked up to the younger, wrapping his arms around his torso and burying his face in the crook of his neck.

"Oh you're up, go lay down while I finish cooking the soup. Actually, while you are still up, go ahead and-" he stopped when he felt tears fall against his shirt and collarbone. Jungkook turned around in his embrace so that he can properly hug him.

"Kookie. . ." he trailed off. Taehyung couldn't speak properly, a lump formed in his throat and it refused to let him speak.

"Don't speak, just listen. I'm sorry hyung and I know you are sorry. I was just too stubborn to listen to your apology. What I did was beyond fucked up and beyond unforgivable. I am sincerely sorry. . . for making you upset. . . for making you hurt. . . for making you cry. . ." he lifted the elder's chin so that he could look into his eyes. The teary eyes that looked back at him broke his heart. He did this and the pain bloomed in his chest like a flower, a flower with the sharpest of thorns.

"Because someone as beautiful as you doesn't deserve to cry and should never cry. Not because of someone like me" tears welled up in his eyes, but he refused to let them fall. Taehyung raised a shaky yet delicate hand and cupped the taller's cheek. His thumb traced the scar on his cheek and moved to tangle itself in the younger's pitch black hair.

"Kookie, I am sorry too. The things I said were out of rage and I shouldn't have said them because you were right. I shouldn't have kept Jimin locked up in here for so long. He had so much freedom before coming here and I just took all of that away from him. I will tell him the same, apologize to him directly because he deserves that apology after everything. He needs to know that I am truly sorry" Taehyung brushed away the tears that began to spill over Jungkook's cheeks. Jungkook hadn't even noticed they began to fall until Taehyung did the small action.
