She was locked in her cell and gazed out the barred windows. The moonlight surrounded her as the stars reflected in her dark brown eyes. Her body ached from the open wounds, scars, and bruises. She then thought of one special person and softly started to sing a soft and gentle lullaby as she remembered her past.
(Flashback)
The girl was walking along the creek searching for some edible berries. Suddenly sounds of snarling and whimpering could be heard. She moved towards the noises and saw that there was a group of wolves and in the center was a small pup getting beaten up. She stepped towards them wanting to help the unfortunate pup. As she stepped towards them and the branch she stepped on snapped in half with a large "CRACK" The wolves turned there heads and looked at the girl with hungry eyes. She backed away slowly hoping not to get any more attention but alas luck was not on her side today. As she was stepping back she tripped on a hidden rock and fell backward. As she desperately tried to stand back she couldn't because before she knew it the wolves surrounded her. They ripped her clothing to shreds but before any major damage was done she was eloped in a bright white light. It was so bright that she had to shield her eyes. She thought the light might hurt her but instead it made her feel warm and safe in all the warmth that was brought with the light she fell into a peaceful sleep forgetting about the recent events.
She awoke with a start laying in the middle of the woods she got up and slowly walked around. Then she remembered the young wolf pup. She franticly searched looking around the place she last saw him. When she heard soft whimpering she immediately went towards it. As she parted the bushes she saw the small wolf laying wounded in a pile of his own blood. She ran towards the unfortunate pup and scooped him up in her arms. She hurried home careful not to harm the pup.
When she arrived at the small cottage she hurried inside placed the wolf down grabbed some bandages and wrapped his wounds. The girl carefully moved the now wrapped up wolf onto her bed. The young girl remembered that she had grown some healing herbs in her garden. She walked out and traveled to her garden. When she reached her destination she carefully went through the herbs and picked out the ones that had healing properties. The young girl headed back to her cottage with a bunch of herbs in hand. As she went inside she headed to the kitchen and started combining and preparing the herbs. When she had finished she looked outside to see that the sky had grown dark she remembered that the pup was on her bed so she set down a blanket and a pillow and went to sleep on the cold floor. She went to sleep with one thing on her mind.
