I think we are all forgetting how powerful and dangerous Loki really is. Like he's holding an infinity stone and barely flinching! Yah sure it's in tesseract form but still it has the same power right? Even if simply holding the tesseract isn't dangerous he has faked his death like twice, he has convinced Thanos to give him and army to invade the world, not to mention he also failed Thanos and lived.
So the question is dose the tesseract have the same affect as it would as being a raw infinity stone. Like you saw what happened to Peter when he grabbed the stone and what happened to the collectors assistant.
