The therapist kept writing notes down on her notepad for what seemed like hours.

My phone was vibrating like crazy in my pocket, but I couldn't check it due to not wanting to disrespect the older woman in front of me.

"So, you started secondary school," she said as she was playing with the top of her pen. "What happened there?"

A smile crept its way onto my face.

"Hoseok and I miraculously went to the same classes together. Taehyung and Jimin were still in middle school, so we only had each other for a while. Hoseok has always been a social butterfly and during a break, we quickly became friends with some older guys named Yoongi and Jin."

She scribbled something down.

"And how were Yoongi and Jin towards you?"

"They treated me like their younger brother."

__________

The first day of secondary school was scary. I knew no one besides Hoseok, who I thought knew half our year already.

But boy, how wrong I was.

Hoseok clung to me like a newborn puppy to its mother, afraid to be left alone, which was a sight I had never seen.

Our class was alright, nothing was particularly special about it. It did make me realise how much I already missed middle school, or perhaps more about how I already missed Susan. Jimin and Taehyung were now a part of the past; we hadn't seen them for months, and frankly, I was quite happy about that. Susan had made me despise Taehyung. It felt like he had wasted her precious time here by being a terrible boyfriend to her, if you could even call him that.

When I told Hoseok what had happened, he didn't believe me and neither did Jimin. Taehyung supposedly played stupid when he was asked about Susan, which only made my blood boil even more.

After our class introductions, we were left to freely roam our new school as the recess had just begun. I felt out of place and like a package that was yet to be delivered, meanwhile, Hoseok was on his way to the cafeteria with me right behind him.

__________

Hoseok kept his steady pace throughout the steadily growingly busy hallway. He held a tight hold on my hand to ensure I was still with him.

"Why are we going this way, Hoseok?" I asked, clear irritation hinting in my voice.

"I want some strawberry milk and I heard someone in our class talk about it earlier before Mrs Jeon walked in."

I kept bumping into people which were followed by countless 'I'm sorry's and 'excuse me's that left my dry mouth.

"Can't you slow down at least?" I said as I almost walked into a tower of books. One of the textbooks hit my elbow and made a small rash.

"No!" he exclaimed. I rolled my eyes as I muttered out a small 'sorry' to one passerby's shoulder he had hit.

He abruptly stopped at the entrance to the cafeteria and I almost fell forward. I glared at him but all he looked at was the long line that ended at the cashiers.

"I'll never get my strawberry milk now," he said with his brows frowned.

"You'll never know if you never try," said a voice and someone clapped us on our shoulders. I almost flew two feet up in the air.

I looked up and met the face of a senior. I gulped despite his overall cheerful attitude towards us.

"You two must be freshmen, right?" he said and smiled.

Hoseok nodded but I just stood there. He wasn't much taller than us but he felt very intimidating nonetheless.

He chuckled.

"Just because I'm your hyung doesn't mean you can't talk to me," he tsch'ed.

"Sorry," I mumbled.

"No need to be sorry, dude. I'm Kim Seokjin. I'm-"

"Worldwide handsome, the smartest kid in his year, kid of businessman Kim Seokjung, we all know the drill, Jin," said a smug voice from beside him. "I can't believe you still introduce yourself this way nowadays."

A small laugh came from him and he turned his attention to us.

"And who're these two kids?"

"Yoongi, they're one year younger than yourself."

"And so what? Anyone who's younger than me are kids in my book."

"It's going to be fun when you're in your fifties then," I commented.

"Hey!"

Jin laughed and so did Hoseok.

"This badtempered blonde is Min Yoongi," Jin said, which earned a scowl from Yoongi.

"I'm Kim Namjoon and this is Jung Hoseok," I said as I pointed to both me and Hoseok respectively.

Hoseok turned his attention back to the line in the cafeteria and his mood instantly fell.

"It's almost twice as long now! It must have sold out ages ago!" he said.

Yoongi threw his arm around Hoseok.

"I've got my ways with the canteen ladies, I'm sure I can get you whatever your heart desires," he said and winked, as they walked their way to the line.

Jin chuckled.

"Yoongi must have a soft spot for your friend there," he said and I nodded.

I could see them from here, with the both of them having a smile plastered on their faces as they tried to persuade people in front of them. They looked like they genuinely enjoyed each others company.

But then again, who wasn't fond of Hoseok?
