Chapter VIII - The day Excalibur came

"C'mon, hurry it up!" I said to Seria as we climb up.
Seria and I rushed into the altar. We ran as fast as we can before the rest of the Fallen Angels could chase us.
"Kaori!!" I called out her name.
"Kaori!!" I called out again.
Kaori couldn't hear my voice because she lies unconscious on top of the altar. There's no way I can wake her up, because those angels put some sort of a magic potion that can knock her out.
"Ichiro-san, she won't wake up." Seria said as she unbinds the ropes on Kaori.
"It's alright, I know she's just sleeping." I doubted her words.
"Kaori, please wake up!" I said to her as I unbind the ropes.
But she's not yet opening her eyes.
What happened to her? Why won't she wake up?
"Kaori!! Wake up, we have to get outta here!!" I cried out.
"It won't work." Seria said.
Then I lift her up, "It's no use. Let's just get her outta here now!!"
After that, both of us climbed down the altar. We rushed as fast as we can, until someone suddenly blocked our path to escape.
"Miss me?" Shyrane surprised me.
After I saw her, she suddenly kicked me in the face, flying me through the air.
That kick was definitely a strong one, and it hurts!
"I never thought that we will meet again, Ichiro!" Shyrane laughed as she unleashes her scimitar from her back.
"Yeah, I never thought that would happen again!" I said.
Then I charged her down, but she kicked me again towards Seria.
Seria was standing and watching in horror as Shyrane kicks me, forcing her to do nothing.
"Ichiro-san!!" she shouted.
"Seria, go now!! Get outta here and take Kaori with you!!" I said.
I can't believe that I'm trying to act like a real hero.
"We can't just leave you al-" Seria rejected my words before I stopped her.
"Just do as I said!!" I shouted back.
"Take Kaori with you and go now!! Shyrane and I had an unfinished business to take care of!" I said as I prepared myself to fight again.
"Oh, acting tough again, huh." Shyrane grinned.
"But unlucky you, you still don't know how to use your own Gear!" Shyrane charged.
After she charged, I managed to dodge her and then she kicked me.
This time I blocked her kick with my left elbow, but her kick pushed me a few meters away.
Then I charged towards her to land a dealing blow right to her face.
"Take this, you bitch!!" I shouted as I charged.
Shyrane then raised her wings and flied.
As she flied high into the air, she drew dark spears again to hurl it down to me.
"That was very impressive of you doing that, Ichiro-san!!" Shyrane said.
"Get back down here!! C'mon! Fight me!!" I taunted her to go down.
"I am still gonna fight you, dummy, but not on the ground. Now, let's see if you can dodge my spears!!" Shyrane said.
After that, spears begin to rain over me, and it begins to hit me everywhere, but still I managed to dodge it.

As rain of spears begin to pour out of me, I kept on dodging it as fast as I can.
"Die!! DIE!! DIE, You little INSECT!!" Shyrane shouted as she enjoys on throwing her spears on me.

As she tries to kill me, Seria stood over and watches. She continues to stand from a distance, guarding Kaori the whole time. She thought to herself that she needs to escape now while she still had time.
I told her to get out, yet she won't listen. She just stands there and kept on watching.
Why won't she get out?!
"There's nowhere left to run, Ichiro!!" Shyrane chases me through the air.
I hid nearby a ruined column. Shyrane continued to chase me and as she chases me, I took a weapon on a skeleton placed beside me.
"Now, get out of that column and face me!!" she said as she draws two spears from her back.
After taunting me, I came out and I hurled the spear to her.
The spear hits her, but she quickly dodged it, while I managed to escape with Kaori and Seria.
Both of us rushed as fast as we can but Shyrane chased us anyway.
"You're not going anywhere, Ichiro!!" Shyrane flew towards me.
"Hurry!! Go!!" I told to Seria.
After telling her to go, Shyrane suddenly stabbed me in the back with a dark dagger.

What the...f***...
It hurts...
I blocked Kaori and Seria but unfortunately, I took the stab that was about to hit Seria and Kaori.
Okay, now I'm wounded!! And the blade that hits my torso is a poisonous one.
"Ichiro-san!!" Seria watched as she sees my blood spilling out of my torso.
"Go!! Don't stand there, just get outta here!!" I tried to yell.
"But-" Seria stuttered until Shyrane speaks again.
"You idiot! You always act like a hero in front of the girl you loved. Will you stop messing around and fight me!!" Shyrane said.
As she is about to step forward, Seria chanted another spell that fires beams of light towards her.

Shyrane was hit and beams of fire shined on her as Seria activates her Gear's powers again.
"Ichiro-san!! Are you alright?!" Seria said as she approaches me.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine! C'mon, we have to get outta here now!" I said as I lift Kaori up.
"You think you can get away from me after what you did to us?!!" Shyrane said.
"The Demon Princess belongs to us!! Her blood and her heart is the only resource we have to activate a weapon we have long wanted to use to defeat you and your kind!!" Shyrane added.
"Well, now that you don't have her, this weapon of yours can't activate anymore!!" I said.
"Oh, you think so?!" a voice suddenly spoke.
Then the black fallen angel once again charged towards me and deals a fatal blow on me, hurling me through the air.
Bbbuuunnnjjjhhh...
KKiiiiyyyaaahhhh....
Rrrrraaaaaaarrrrrggghhhh....
What the hell...
"You again?!'' I said as I looked on Mephisto.
It's him?! What the hell's he doing here?! Why does he want Kaori?!!
Inami?!! What the hell happened to her?!!
Edward!! Risa!! They're all taken down!!
"You should probably surrender, kid. It's no use for you fighting us, we can only outsmart you. Now, be a good boy and hand over your friend to us so that we can finally activate our weapon to destroy our enemies once and for all." Mephisto said.
Before he can put his hands on me, somebody came along.
"Don't think that you can easily beat us down, you shithead!!" a voice said.
Then a Black armoured Demon suddenly came out of nowhere, rampaging like a berserker, destroying all of the surviving Fallen Angel warriors.

After the Black armoured Demon rampaged, a young Demon appeared with a large axe and destroyed everything along his way. Then a Demon maid appeared and chanted magic spells to kill all the remaining Fallen Angels.
I can't believe this! I can't believe I'm seeing this, they're here!!
Kenta! Sebastian! Wilhelmina! I thought they're dead!!
I knew there's still hope left!!
"Oi, dude, you alright?!" Kenta shouted out to me.
"We're fine!" I answered.
"Good!! Anyway, we'll hold off these bastards!! Get outta here with Kaori!!" he said.
I'm not wrong after all, there really is hope remaining on these guys.
"What about you?!" I said.
"Don't worry about us, Takamura!! We'll take care of the things from here!" Sebastian said.
After talking, I lifted Kaori again and Seria and I hurriedly ran.
"Stop them!! They're getting away!!" Mephisto said.
Then a group of Fallen Angels charged towards us and we continued to run towards the exit.
"C'mon!! Let's go!!" I said as I lift Kaori up.
As we climb up, a figure suddenly blocked us from being attacked by the Fallen Angels. The figure swinged her naginata, killing all of the charging Fallen Angels.

Inami-neechan? She's alive?!!
"What are you waiting for?! Don't just stand there, go now!! I'll hold them off!!" Inami said.
I suddenly stuttered after seeing her saving our lives.
