X-Men Evolution: New Era

Chapter 1: New Faces and Old

Since the defeat and resealing of Apocalypse three months ago a lot of things had changed for the mutants of the Xavier Institute.  Members who had left before, such as Rahne and Jubilee  had returned, new members like Danielle and Laura, and even new instructors like Angel and Forge. 

With the new additions life at the mansion was more crowded, not to mention louder, than ever.

Kitty had just won her way to the kitchen through the gathered mutants, it pays to have the ability to phase through them. And found herself seated next to Laura  and Rogue. Rogue, who she was use to, was fine but Laura still creeped her out a bit. Since Laura had joined she had had two episodes of anger, resulting with Logan on damage control, and one bout of depression with Professor X calming her down.

Still there were worse off people at the large table then her, she saw that Roberto was stuck between two copies of Jaime and felt a little better for her seating.   

Logan was watching the news as he often did and turned up the volume to max just to hear. 

"Now once again we have no confirmation on what is causing the strange lights that have been sighted outside the Redwood Forests, though at the moment we can not exclude the possibility of mutant involvement." The newscaster reported. 

A couple of the students sighed. "Never changes does it." Bobby said, many of the others agreed. 

"Come now it is not as bad it seems, we should all be glad that things are not as bad as they could be." Professor X said. 

"And in other new former principal and mayor candidate Kelly has made another public statement saying that his failure to win the mayors office will not be the end of his attempts to control mutants, he has also made a cryptic statement that someone with power is on his side in the matter. We will report any follow ups on Mr. Kelly." The reporter said before Logan turned the tv off.

"Alright enough of that, I have to get ready for today's training session. It is sure to be fun." Logan said with a wolfish smile.

Sam groaned. "Great another new 'game' I think I'll skip on it."

"Agreed, Beast can you lead the session instead?" Bobby asked.

"Sorry but I have some stuff to look into, but I'll be ready in the medic wing if you need it." Beast said jokingly.

"I have to get ready." Kitty said getting up, not feeling to hungry now. "I'll come with you." Danielle said also getting up.

The two were crossing the entrance when they heard a knock at the door. "Wonder who that could be?" Kitty said as the two went to the door. "I don't know." Danielle said trailing behind Kitty.

Kitty opened the door and saw someone she never thought she would see again. Standing at the door was a tall teenage girl in punk clothes, purple lipstick and eye shadow, purple and black hair that was shaved short on one side.

She looked around in a confused sort of way, looking past Kitty and Danielle as if looking for someone. "Uh hello." She said to them. "I am looking for a Professor Charles Xavier, a Wolverine, and Rouge. I have a message for them." 

"Uh Professor!" Kitty called. "We have a problem!" She stood in shock at the girl, she hopped Rogue was nowhere near because she would not be happy to see their guest. 

"Oh and they said for me to tell you one other thing." The girl said suddenly remembering something. "My name, it's Risty Wilde."

Hope you like the first part of my fanfiction continuation of X-Men Evolution. Sorry if you find it too short but I have two reasons for that. One it's like an intro scene shorter then the rest. And two I have been having inspiration troubles with my writing, hope it clears out soon. Till next time, goodbye.
