Rebounding

Promises (part 2)

Daniel's POV
I just came home from practice and seen Lena on snapchat with bubbles and roses. So I decided to call her and she didnt answer. I figured maybe she was busy but I knew that she didnt talk to anyone atleast not that I knew of. So I decided to text her but after a while I got no response. She only lived a couple of houses down so I decided to walk. I walked down to her house and knocked on the door. I didn't get an answer and I started to worry because no one answered the door. I then realized that it was the anniversary of Gregory's death so I took my spare key to unlock the door. I heard music playing so I followed the music up the stairs and into Lena's room. I walked into the bathroom connected to her room and turned to see Lena in the tub. I immediately grabbed her and took her out of the tub. Taking my phone out to call 911 and started to preform cpr.

Patiently waiting until the ambulance got here I continued to preform cpr. When they got here the paramedics took over with cpr. I watched as they put her on the stretcher and carried her out of the house and into the ambulance. I ran and got in Lena's car to follow them. After getting to the hospital I began to call everyone who I felt I needed to call as they sent her to the back. They asked me to fill out her information and with the help of her mom I did. Sitting there waiting on the results. That's when on Lena's mom came in. She walked over and hugged me. "have you heard anything?" she asked me. No they havent said anything I replied. Just then the rest of the crew came piling in. "Is she okay?" "Have the doctors came out and said anything ?" " what happened?" Starting to get irritated I said everbody calm down, and to answer your questions I am not sure and no the doctor has not came out yet and when I went over her house she didnt answer so I used my key to get in and seen she was in the bath tub unconscious under the water. I scooped her out ans started performing CPR on her and I noticed a pill bottle beside her. So Im guessing she took some and passed out. That's when the doctor came out. "Family of Alena August". We all look at the doctor as her mom walked over to the doctor. Alena's mom talked to the doctor and walked back over to us. She had a blank expression which worried me. Once she got over to us I asked her what the doctor had said. She preceeded to tell us that she was okay and she should be waking up soon. It looks she took a sleeping pill and fell asleep in the tub. But they also found a suicide note so once she wakes up they are going try to put her in a mental institution. Based off her mindset when she wakes will determine if I decide to put her in there. But we can go see but only two at a time. Everyone collectively decided that her mom and I should be the ones to go first. So we started to go to her room. As we were walking towards her room she turned to me and thanked me for being there for Alena. I explained that that's what friends do for eachother and that I know she would do the same for me. I would always be there for Lena through thick and thin. She hugged me and thanked me once again and told me she thinks I should go in the room by myself and she would come in after I was finished. So I went in there and sat next to her. It broke my heart to know that she was ready to take her life but at the same time I couldn't imagine how she felt that was her big brother someone she looked up to. I grabbed her hand.

Alena, I'm not sure if you can hear me but  I can't imagine how you feel right now but I just want you to know that I love you and you can always talk to me. You ain't gotta go through shit alone. I promised you and Greg that I was gonna make sure you are straight. Please don't hesitate to call me.

And with that I kissed her on the cheek when I felt her starting to move.
