7. Powers

(Eleazar’s p.o.v)

            Carslie called me to see if I can help him with something. He told me about this female vampire named Carlie and they are trying to figure out if she has more than one power. He reposted that she saw a vision and was able to read mind. I agreed to come and help him.

 We got too the Cullen house a little before everyone else arrived. At this moment is when I heard all the cars coming up the drive way.  I could smell a sent I was not familiar with and figured that was Carlie. When they all walked in I was amazed. Never in my life have a met someone like her. She is impressively powerful.  I couldn’t wait to talk to her and get to know how MANY of her powers she has discovered yet.

(Carlie’s  p.o.v)

            “This is Carmen, Tanya, Kate, Garrett, and lastly Eleazer” Carslie told me

“Hello, it’s nice to meet all of you, I'm Carlie” I said. Everyone looked around waiting for someone to talk.

Edward finally did, “Eleazar we were wondering if you could be able to tell us what her power is. It has us all wondering what it could be.”

Eleazar was staring at me in amazement. I automatically sensed I knew what his power is. He can figure our other vampires powers with just one look. But how did I know this? I'm so confused. 

“She is a Taker. I have never met one before in my entire life” Eleazar looked at me “You my young child are more powerful the then any other vampire alive.” Everyone was shocked. I mean I was shocked myself. I'm nothing. I'm not powerful. I'm just a normal/ non normal vampire. I didn’t thing I could ever be so ‘important’.  Wait, wait. What is a taker? I don’t even know what that means.

“What does a taker do exactly?” Tyler asked, I smiled it was like he read my mind.

“She could have any power she wishes. She was able to read minds and see visions because at some point she wanted those powers, and so she got them.” Edward told Tyler and the rest of us. Wow so I can have any power I want.. Hmm.. Interesting. I want to be a telepath. Like Tyler.  Almost as though Tyler was thinking the same thing he sent me something in my mind.

‘Hey, its Tyler can you send something back?’

‘Hey Tyler, did it work?’ I sent back hoping it work. This will be sooooo cool if it did.

 ‘Yeah! It did that’s so cool’ Tyler sent back. Before I could Edwards question interrupted me.

“but why does she have human characteristics” Edward said. 

“Ahh well you see that’s also part of her powers. She can become a full human, age and die if she will like, she can even change a vampire to a human. That’s how powerful she is. She can change herself or someone else to human then change them back to a vampire. She can also make a human a vampire without biting them or putting venom. She can also change a human to a vampire but they will continue to grow and be ‘human’ until the age 19, then they will stop aging and freeze. She can also give the gift of life to a female vampire. Carlie is the most powerful vampire there is. You are lucky she’s your friend and not an enemy” Eleazar said.

Wow, I was shocked. I learned so much about myself in a short few hours. I'm the most powerful vampire there is? That’s amazing but that’s too much power for me. How will I control myself? What if I hurt someone I care about? What if I hurt Tyler? No I don’t think I can do this. I can’t do this by myself. I don’t know anything.

I guess I started to freak out a little because everyone was giving me strange looks while in a conversation I wasn’t paying attention to. I didn’t care I'm a freak! Freaks get looks. So let them stare.

‘Carlie are you okay?’ Tyler asked me through his mind. I looked at him and he was watching me with a caring and worried look.

‘No I'm not okay, I'm a freak, why do I have to be so powerful. Why? I'm going to hurt someone’ I sent back and looked down so I wouldn’t see how he reacted. Next thing I knew I was being wrapped in two warm strong arms. When I looked up, Tyler had me in a hug. He looked at me straight in the eye and I couldn’t look away.

“Carlie, you are anything but a freak, you are so amazing” he said out loud this time.i hugged him back, tightly, liking the contact and the feeling I got when we touched. When we pulled apart everyone was looking at us. I started to blush because everyone was watching. Wait I could always feel myself blush but not this much. Omg. You have to be kidding me now everyone could see me blush!

“GREAT!” I yelled mad

“What?” Emmett asked alarmed.

“You guys can see when I blush now!” I said angrily, everyone just laughed. I just rolled my eyes at everyone.

‘It’s okay, you look even more beautiful when you blush’ Tyler sent me. I blushed even more now. GREAT! Just great! Edward laughed at me. Stupid mind reader, I said in my mind while smiling.

            It was about time for me to head back home. Everyone seemed busy so I just wrote a note that said:

Thank you guys so much,

I’ll see you at school.

Don’t worry I just went home.

 I’ll be fine

            I left it on the kitchen table and left before someone could spell Mississippi. When I got home I went straight to my room. And then went to take a shower. The whole time Tyler was on my mind. I couldn’t stop thinking of him. I missed him so much. What’s wrong with me?

            I got out the shower and put on some shorts and a tank top. I was about to get in bed when I heard a knock at the door.

(Tylers p.o.v)

            I like Carlie a lot. I wanted to tell her but I'm so scared to get rejected and laughed at. I went looking for her but couldn’t find her anywhere in the house. I started to panic, when I entered the kitchen I spotted the note. It was from her she said she went home. This was my chance. I can tell her how I feel at her house and no one will know but me and her. I raced to her house. Following her sent. Oh how I loved how she smelled. I hope no one noticed I'm gone because I didn’t tell anyone. I was missing her too much to take the time to tell my mom where I would be. When I got to her door I took a minute and the knocked. I looked down at myself and was horrified. I was only wearing my shorts, no shirt. Before I could run away she opened the door.

            She was surprised I was there but I saw her run her eyes up and down my body. I smirked, she was checkin me out. That’s when I noticed what she wore. She looked so beautiful. Even in just shorts and a tank top. I couldn’t keep my eyes off her.

“Come in” she said holding the door open. I walked in and then she closed the door. I couldn’t control myself any longer when she turned around I pulled her close to me. Then I kissed her. Carlie was shocked, she didn’t react at first. I then felt her relax and kiss me back..
