A Red Moon/Part 3

I stand up and turn around to walk away slowly... one step at a time... jeez...to many people dying, and now...Nicolette. I walk away emotionless, but someone tugs me softly and I turn around to see Janelle in complete tears breaking down and barely able to speak, "L-Lisanna! What are you doing?! We need time to grieve...Nicolette was our friend-" I immediately cut her of then and there and snap, "No...she is our friend!!! And I am going out there, back to the battlefield to get revenge for her!" No one says another word, I turn around and add one last thought on my mind, "This is a battle field filled with plenty of young deaths, we can not grieve! No matter how much we want to..."

Incoming shots of magic and fireballs falling from the sky and threatening to kill me. I couldn't think straight...seriously...how many more people do you want to take away from me until your satisfied! Demon Queen!!! I crack then and there, and start slashing out my anger and pain at the monsters in front of me. Dead...*Slash*... she's...dead. *Slash*...why, why did she hide it from us?! We could have saved her! I gasp and get hit in the guts hard, flinching I think to myself...No, that's a lie, once a person is infected by poison...it's already to late.

Incoming from all directions I close my eyes and start tearing up...I wait for the final moment and from waiting to long, I bravely open them back up to see my friends covering for me. I smile and giggle, a snake, an elf, a giant, a siren, a priest are all here to back me up. They all turn around and tell me in unison, "Fly! Lisanna!" I nod and spread my wings, despite all my pain and being bruised, I couldn't let the Demons beat us. We are Hunters! I give a long battle cry and fly towards the elite union and protect them, flying to the general's side he smiles and says, "So your finally here so I can see you die a beautiful death?" I put up my middle finger and state backwards, "I pitty you, general, you truly are a sadist."

Shadow Demons...no there is to many of them appearing from the sky and the ground. I figure something on my own...if no more Water Demons of Fire Demons are coming out of the holes, that means either 2 things. 1: The Demon Queen is waiting for the strongest team of Hunters to fall into her trap. Or...2:She is ruining out of energy and strength! I gasp and the General orders, "Lisanna take me up into the air!" I nod and carry the General up into the sky as he fights while I concentrate on flying and dodging things. "You've noticed, haven't you Lisanna?" I nod and he adds, "I know it is a tricky move, but we might not have another chance!" He taps my shoulder and I immediately give out the signal.

I take a deep breath and my position my head up to the sky and let go a river of fire into the sky. The signal of fire reached the elite union and they moved in quickly. The group of Hunters surrounding them leave an opening and the remaining Hunters of the Elite Union quickly et to work, the black hole only a few feet of them. I watch with the general still in my hands, I watch as one by one they jump into the black hole. Lisanna, at we can do is watch... I hear Phoenix say silently. I watch in surprise, no words just shock... they are about to face the one thing that stands in this world's way: The Demon Queen...mother of all Demons that arrive in our land every 4 years to eat and drink blood from all races.

16 years ago...before I was even born they were here to kill us...and am I an exception? Of course not... they will see me as an enemy, 'cuz I will kill all of them! For my friends...for my aunt. They took to much from me to ever be allowed to live, ever! I break in tears and flap my wings for extra strength and yell out, "Hunters! GOOOO!!! " A minute later, I see something that almost grabs the attention of all Hunters: The last remaining Hunters from the Elite Union are shot back out from the hole and disintegrate in front of our eyes. The ash passes over my head and is taken away by the breeze. I hear the clinging and the battle cries. I see and smell death and blood. It's all there fault...it's all their...

FAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I walk into the black room and shake hands with the lady, she gives me the most sinister smile but my body is taken control of and acts on it's own except for my brain. I drop the general and he falls to the ground hard, everyone surrounding him and I head for my one target. Hehehehe..... "Demons! Time to playyyy...... " I giggle with a dark emotion inside, I give out a loud cry and call all the Demons towards me...noting to them that I am their ultimate enemy. I fly towards them and scream out, "Hehe! Phoenix burn them to a crisp!" I hear my Demonic soul partner laugh and we send out flames through my mouth. No monster in my way! Hehehehe.....

A monster manages to bite my arm and I look at my arm, "Ohh?" He looks up at me to see my shocked face, but then I smile and grasp my face to keep myself from dying of laughter, I give him my most prettiest *die* smile and I suddenly stab it in it's core where the heart should be. Hehehe..... I land on the ground and sing out, Lalala! You need to go to the Underworld, the Underworld!" Hehehe... I get scraped by a Shadow Demon from behind and ignore the pain by saying, "That tickled....but not nice enough!!" I kill the beast by snapping it's neck with my bear hands, I bleed from my back and giggle... "Whooo! This is fun!" Hehehe....

That's when more than 3 monsters come at me and scrape my body all over, I don't flinch...I don't cry in pain...I don't fight back. I stay completely still and allow them to eat me up! Am I truly going crazy when I swore my loyalty? I laugh and add, "Yes feed on me!" My friends come and slash them... full of bruises and bloody....despite that they come to protect me. "Hehehe....you guys look funny! Aha ha HA!!" I grab my stomache and yell out, "Oh God I can't breathe! Hehehe!" Ricardo grabs my shoulder and Janelle freezes the Demons while Emily goes in snake speed and kills them for me... I complain, "Awwww...I wanted to kill them..." Ricardo shakes me around and he says, "Lisanna! Snap out of it! Walk out of the black room!"

I stay still and stiff....I am like this, because of me being inside of the black room? I look down at my palms and watch my friends fight and block me....no...not me... don't fight for...ME!!!! My friends all fall except for the youngest of them all, she tries to fight them on by herself, and I just stand there like an idiot, my wings start to ache and I try to regain consciousness, but the lady refuses to let me go and she sinks her claws into my arm and I howl in pain, grasping my arm and falling to my knees. "AHHHHHHHH!" Janelle runs to me and embraces me, "Please Lisanna! Come back to us! Nicolette is gone....our friends are hurt....I am fighting...I am fighting for you too!" I snap back with the pain still trying to suck me back in...

"Why-Why?! Why do you care for me, Janelle?! I am a monster! Why do you fight for me?! I snap at Janelle. She's almost in tears and says, "Because...*sniff* I could never stop fighting for my-" At that moment...she is interrupted to a slash clean through her stomache, everything happened to fast. She tightens the grip of my shoulders then lets go. I break he fall by catching her, she finishes her sentence, "*Gulp* Older sister...." I stay with my eyes wide open and stare at her hazel eyes. There was a reason why Janelle had similar features..."Janelle....what?" That is the only words I manage to squeal out from that one moment that stood frozen for what seemed like forever.

I looked at her wounds and react fast enough to carry her in my arms and fly to the Nymphs. I land nearly falling from wanting to run while still in the air, I reach the Nymphs and give them Janelle. I yell out, "P-Please save her!" They wave back and look back the battle field. I know my duty is to protect and fight alongside General Sentire but...killing the Demon Queen myself sounds like a lot of more fun. I replace my Hand Claws on and spread out my wings and say, Phoenix, we can take her, let's go! I hear an excited response from Phoenix, Finally a truly challenging enemy. I smile and take off shaking the tent with a pushy wave of wind. I land a few feet before reaching the black hole and as I run up to it I am stopped by force by a hard hand.

I turn around and yell out, "Hey what's the big de-" I stop myself and turn to face Aiden. He looks at me and says, "Are you crazy?" I shrug and say, "Define crazy..." He squeezes my shoulder a little to hard and screams in anger, "I am not joking around! What are you thinking?!!" I look at him straight, my braided tieback of brown hair all over my face and in my mouth. I pick up my black wings in anger and say, "Listen I am going to kill that thing! I don't care if I die! As long as she dies along with me!" Silence is what happens after I say that. He quietly states, "I am coming along with you." I shake my head.

"No, I have to do this alone...I might be the last weapon we have besides the Hunters endlessly giving up their lives just for more Demons to show up. Besides I have had just about enough of everyone getting hurt and dying!" I clutch a bruise and look back at him, before I leave he recites a chant for me and I feel a fuzzy feeling inside. "It's a chant to give you extra energy and strength." I nod my head and I said, "I'll be back." He gives me a playful and goofy smile and holds out his pinkie and says, "Pinkie promise?" I laugh and say, "Pinkie promise."

Aiden watches me as I fly up into the sky a few feet then dive into the black hole, I remind myself: This is for the Hunters...and for all of Gehenna!
