Alana POV
I opened my eyes to an empty room that wasn't even mine. It took me a while to adjust. I sat up with my legs hanging off the bed. My arm reached for my phone on the night stand beside me. No messages, no calls.
I took a deep breath, taking in the scent of Josine. I smiled to myself. She let me borrow an oversized shirt while Este was away. Este has been gone for long while, but I didn't worry much. She could take care of herself.
I got up and walked around the house looking for Jo. Once I was sure she wasn't home I pulled a chair and sat down. I took out my phone and went through my recent calls looking for Danielle's name to call her.
There was a call from her at 1:35am. I stared at my phone in confusion. I decided to call her back.
Josine POV
I kept my eyes on Danielle's lips as I leaned in close. I took her gorgeous face with my hand and looked into her eyes. Right as our lips were to meet, a phone rang. We both pulled away. She took out her phone and the light turned green. Danielle answered her phone as I drove back to my apartment.
"Lanzo" Danielle said to her phone. "Yeah She's with me... She came to pick me up and blake......I'll explain when we get there....... Has Este called you?...Yeah me either.... Well I'm sure she's fine.... Yeah okay bye."
"Everything fine?" I asked her.
"Yeah. Baby doesn't like being alone." She said avoiding my gaze. I really hope this didn't start to get awkward. I wanted something between Danielle. I didn't know what but something..
We got to my apartment and I reached in my pocket for my key. I was about to unlock the door but Danielle's hand stopped mine. We look at each other for a while until my brother started calling my name from the car.
"I.. Umm.." I wanted to kiss Danielle but I couldn't. Instead I handed her the key and went to get Blake from the car. I let out a deep sigh as I walked over to get my brother. I put his arm around my neck and we made our way to my apartment.
I laid blake on the couch and went to grab him a blanket. Alana blocked the entrance to my room. There was a small frown on her face.
"I don't like it when you're alone with her." Alana said still blocking the way to my room.
"Blake was with us." I tried to make my way around her but she made her way in front of me.
"Barley." Alana crossed her arms. "I really like you Josine."
"And I like you Lanzo" I held her face and kissed her forehead. I walked past her to grab a blanket for Blake. "Go to bed. I'll tell Danielle to come sleep with you." She nodded. She kissed my cheek and got under my covers.
Danielle was leaning against the wall, she stood up once she saw me. She gave me a small, shy smile. I put the blanket on top of Blake and walked over to Danielle.
"Um Alana will be sleeping in my room. You two can share my bed." I said to her.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah um first drawer on my dresser you'll find some old t shirts you can wear. The one underneath it has some sweats"
"Okay thank you" Danielle wore a worried look.
"I'm sure Este's fine" I tried to comfort her.
"What? Oh right! Yeah." She began walking to my room but I grabbed ahold of her arm.
"Um Danielle? Would you like to go out for breakfast in the morning?" I let go of her. She gave a small smile, biting her lip, she nodded. I smiled back at her.
