(Y/N)'s pov
It was the day I become sixteen. Maya just turned sixteen two months ago. Aiden, Gill and Lukas were same age, sixteen too, they're probably gonna turn to seventeen few months more. I jumped off my bed to take on the day ahead of me. I made a happy dance not a clue that Natalie was standing there at my door.
"Someone's happy about today." She said, leaning on the wall.
I stopped dancing and just smiled, widely.
"Come on birthday, girl big day ahead of you." She said as she left to make breakfast. I fixed the bed and went downstairs to eat. I found something. Not what I expected. Cake!!
"CAKE!!!" I said, hurrying down. I quickly ran to the table almost tripping on. . . absolutely nothing but air. Typical Me.
"Careful there (N/N)." She reminded. I pulled out a chair a sat on it.
"Its your favorite cake." She pushed the cake platter to me and I started to eat.
"Thanks Natalie." I thanked her, munching more of the cake.
"No problem (N/N). Anything for the birthday girl."
"I wish this attitude will keep up forever." I sighed.
"You wish princess," She chuckled.
"Princess?" I asked.
"Well your the youngest of the family so your the princess." She said. This reminds me of mom and dad, which makes me a bit sad.
"Oh. . ." I said.
"Hey don't be sad. We'll see mom and dad again. . . Maybe." She said, comfortingly.
"I wish."
"Don't get those thoughts take up most of you day. Be happy. Its your day." She hugged me. "And take a bath now (N/N)."
She let me go from the hug then snatched the towel and went inside the bathroom. After my bath I got dressed into my clothes and waited for the bus. I got on the bus, smiling sweetly than any other day I do. I don't care about the people who'll take over my day with hatred. I'll just enjoy it will it still lasts. I couldn't stop smiling. Well who wouldn't, maybe a person who is depressed and hates their life that is. Once we had arrived at school's entrance gate, I skipped happily to the lockers area, taking my books.
"Happy Birthday (Y/N)!!" I spun around my heels, leaving my books to see my friends, Jesse, Jay, Olivia, Axel and Petra. And with Reuben following Jess . . . I didn't know animals and pets were allowed in here but eh.
"Hey guys! Thanks!" I waved at them. Jess gave me a hug.
"Anyways here." Olivia said, handing me two wrapped boxes which are presents.
"A gift?" I asked. "You guys shouldn't have!"
"Well we did." Axel said, pointing to the present. "Now open it both!"
Olivia gave it to me and I took out the first present's wrapping paper. I opened the box and there was a yellow and brown spawn egg with a stack of fish on the side.
"Okay before you flip out, spawn it." Petra said as I gave her a are-you-crazy? look. But I did anyways. I threw the egg near my locker at the floor. It was an ocelot.
"You feed him the fish but you tame him first." Petra instructed. I tame the ocelot and its fur changed into white with big and small black spots. It jumped into my arms and I cradled it.
"Name him!" Jay said. I thought for awhile until an idea came into my head.
"I'll name him 'Meadow'." I petted its head as it purrs.
"Why?" Jesse asked.
"His fur reminds me the grassy fields filled with various kinds of flowers. Also its fur is so soft like the grass there." I explained.
"Oh," Axel said. The bell rings. Uhhh good timing? I guess.
"See ya later guys! We shouldn't be late for our classes!" Jesse exclaimed as he rushed to his first class with Jess and Reuben following them.
I dashed to my homeroom then sat down on my usual sit. This days gotta be great, right? I mean why wouldn't it be?
