Arena got ready for school. She wore a pink and black plaid shirt, miss me jeans and square toed boots. When Arena was done puttin her clothes on, she called her mom in to do her hair.
"mom" she shouted
"yes sweetheart" her mom asked
"hair time"
Jessie smiled at Arena. She walked over to her, wondering to do with her hair. Arena's mom dried her long dark brown hair. She plugged in the curling iron. Jessie started curling Arena's hair. By the time she was done, Arena's hair was completely full. She added some hairspray. Now Arena's curls are pretty.
"There you go honey" her mom said
"thank you mommy... wheres daddy"
"hes downstairs making breakfast for you"
"ok"
Arena walked downstairs with her backpack. She put it on the couch and walked into the kitchen.
"good morning daddy" Arena said
"awh... theres my beautiful baby girl" her dad said
"thank you... whats for breakfast"
"panacakes, eggs, cereal, and hashbrowns. and toast"
"oohh.. yummy"
Arena sat the table, waiting for her plate. Her dad proudly set the plate on the table. Arena slowly poured syrup on her pancakes. She started munchin down like shes in a hurry. After she got done eatin, Arena double checked herself. Makin sure she is clean and presentable.
Arena grabbed her back pack and walked to the door. Arena made her way to school.
"Hey Arena" Megan shouted
"Hi Megan" Arena said
Arena and Megan are friends at school. They have the same teacher and same lunch. They always sat by one another.
The bell rang and the girls made their way to the room. Arena sat at her desk and pulled out her notebook and pencil. In Arena's class, students were assigned seats. Arena sat next to Kyle who she hates and a empty desk on her right.
Class was going on when there was a knock on the door. The teacher walked over to answer it. It was the schools principle. Arena wasnt pay attention when someone pulled a chair out beside her. She looked and it was the boy from next door.
"LJ?" She whispered
"Hi Arena"
"Arena you think you can show Larry around the school" said Mrs Meadors
"sure. right now"
"yes" Mrs. Meadors said
"ok... come on Larry"
LJ and Arena walked out of the classroom and roamed the halls. Arena showed him where the exits are, the bathrooms, the library and lunchroom. She liked the way he was dresses today.
Black polo shirt, dark denim jeans and boots. To her, he was gorgeous. Even for her age, shes been boy crazy. She has boys that are friends. None of em never dressed like LJ. They were into cartoon characteres. Like Iron Man, Batman, and such.
Hours has past and school was finally out. Arena walked to school, that means her dad is pickin her up. Arena walked out with LJ. Her dad saw her and waved.
"Hey...how are you gettin home" Arena asked
"I walked to school.. that means I walk back home"
"oh.. maybe my dad can give you a ride home.. come on"
LJ had a worried look. He only met her mom and not the dad. LJ and Arena walked towards her father. LJ had sweat palms. He prayed her father is not mean.
"hi daddy" Arena said
"hey baby girl... whose this" Beau said
"daddy this is my new friend.. Larry but you can call him LJ"
"Nice to meet you sir" LJ said
"You too kid"
"Daddy can you drop LJ off. Since he lives next door"
"Next door? You live next door?"
"yes sir.."
"well if he dont mind.. than I dont"
"ok.. come on LJ"
The three of em hopped into Arena's fathers truck. They left the school. Then Beau broke the silence.
"Ice cream kids" he asked
"yeah" they both said
Beau stopped for ice cream. They ordered their ice cream and off they went back home. Beau pulled into the the driveway and parked. Arena and LJ got out.
"thanks for ice cream sir.. and see ya at school Arena"
"Bye LJ"
"No problem" Beau said
Arena watch LJ walk back into his house. Her dad came to her side of the vehicle.
"he seems like a good catch" her dad teased
"Dad!"
"What? the way you look at him.. seems like my baby has her first crush"
"is that what this feelin is"
"sure is sweetheart.. come on lets go inside"
"Ok"
Beau and Arena walked back into their house. Arena ran up stairs to put her school stuff in her room. When she looked out the window, she saw LJ, still eatin his ice cream.
