Just so you know, this is a third person's point of view :)
In this chapter, if I'm writing like this (in italics), then it means it's zayn's current situation as him and liam are not at the same place.

• Chapter 1: Please don't kill me •
Liam sighed clasping the golden triangle pendent in his hand. He's stressed but he's glad he came over back home. It had been a long time since he met his father. Noticing his father's worrisome stare, he passed a reassuring smile. He doesn't want him worrying about his life again. He knows what he is doing is for the best.
Without any other word, he bid his father a goodbye. With a goal set in his mind, he knew that there's no delaying it anymore. He will talk to Zayn today.
As he drove back to his apartment, his mind replayed the day's morning. It was a big day for Zayn, as well as for Liam. It was Zayn's first interview and Liam hopes everything goes well.
He dialed Zayn's number as he stopped at a red light. The bell rang;
Once
twice..
.
Zayn looked over to his phone ringing.
Liam x
He quickly denied the call.
"So Mr Malik, have you worked anywhere before?" The interviewer asked as he intertwined his hands over the table in a professional manner.
Zayn gulped, shifting uncomfortably in his place as he readjusted his collar before replying,
"No."
.
"Must be at the interview." He mutters throwing the phone on the passenger seat beside him. Liam kissed his lips in annoyance. To say he was curious was an understatement. The anxiety was eating him up. Taking a deep breath he made a mental note he'd try again when he reaches back home.
He smiled as he glanced at the group of children playing near the playground outside his house. He recognises some of them who helped him with the crafts he makes for the orphans. The children were eager to help and wouldn't take no for an answer.
He made a smooth turn before the car jerks and goes past the group of the children. The children luckily ran out of the way of the car before anyone could've got hurt.
"You kids okay !?!?" He asked the group as he released a sigh of relief when they assured they were okay. Liam reversed the car back carefully. The broken road has been such a nuisance to everyone in the area, he was going to sort this thing out today for final.
"Hey you. Excuse me! Yes sir, you! " Liam calls out to the worker before continuing, " It's been 4 weeks since we registered a complaint for the broken road, and 2 weeks since y'all are working here, do you care to explain to me why haven't you fixed the road yet ? Why are you guys so irresponsible, huh ? It's causing such a nuisance to everyone, so many accidents happened-" he sighed at the man, "-But why do you care, right ? Why is it any of your business, am I right ? Whoever lives or dies, why do you care?"
