I was snapped back into reality when the bell rang, signaling the beginning of 1st hour. I have been sitting in my seat, daydreaming for a good 10 minutes, waiting for my best friend's arrival. I guess she is not coming today. I look up and see that the teacher is not in the class yet so I quickly pull out my phone and see a message from her.
One New Message From: Adde<3
I won't be in school today I am taking a mental health day love you... Have fun!!!
I sigh and glare at my screen, I have not seen her all week! And now the one day I would get to see her she is taking a 'mental health' day. Lynn was not here today either. Well, I know where I am going for lunch. The classroom door opens and I shove my phone into my pocket before the teacher can see it.
"Ok class, it's Friday do the assignment on the school page, turn it in at the end of class. After that be quiet," the teacher says, sitting at her desk and opening her book. I glance at the cover and smile to myself. She was reading 'ACOTAR.' Her poor soul. Looks like she got my anonymous 'Books to Read' list. Mrs. Green was by far the best teacher in the school. She was only 25 and is a huge book nerd. Like mood swings, according to the chapter you are on, book nerd.Even though the book list was 'anonymous' she knew it was me who provided her the list of heart wrenching stories she was sure to enjoy. The list consisted of books by Sarah J. Mass and Leigh Bardugo. Both amazing authors that have part of my soul as a souvenir for the time I spent with their books.
I snap out of my thoughts and open my school issued computer, and quietly start it up and go to the school website. The rest of the class was already doing the assignment. Normally I would be doing this with Addeliza but no she is mentally stressed and at home. After completing the task of getting into the math section I open said assignment and start to do the math problems on a piece of paper I had taken out before the start of class.
~timeskip to in class before lunch~
I sat staring out the window counting down the minutes until I can get in my car and go to my best friend's house to eat. After jinxing her of course.
"Sianna!" My name was suddenly called, and I look to the front of the room were one of my classmates was standing. Seeing that is was Hondo, who is my drama club friend, and noting that we are in Mrs. Morey' s class, the drama club sponsors, I stand up dramatically too. Time for some in class improve. Me and Hondo pause and give the students time to bring out their phones to record this epic show that happens once a week.
"I thought you took care of him!" he said in his loud whispering voice while looking around the room, pretending not to see any of the students. I look around too before walking to the front of the class, next to the teachers desk. Mrs. Morey was smiling as she watched the show unravel in front of her eyes.
"I did Hondo! Got him as he came home from work. It was fast too... Just slipped the dagger across his neck and boom! No more mister. I still have the dagger too." When I finished my made up line, I pull a small dagger from the prop bag next to the teachers desk Dried fake blood was still on the dull blade from last nights drama rehearsal.
"Then why was he here this morning?" Hondo asks snatching the knife from my hand and throwing it on the floor.
"You realize he has a twin ,right? His family still has not even found the body. They think he is coming home after school, little do they know he is laying in an alley forever sleeping." I smile leaning onto the table at the front of the room.
"Sianna, his twin lives three hours away and goes to a charter school." Hondo looks are me glaring daggers, but I can see behind his mask as he is laughing on the inside.
