"Nice friends." Jughead said sarcastically after Reggie and the others left.
"Yeah? Well, I've had worst." You said crossing your arms.
"Okay we deserve that." Kevin said.
"Yeah you do." You replied.
"Look I know it may seem like we don't like Reggie." Betty said.
"There is a reason for that." Jughead mumbled cause you to shoot him a glare. You pushed past them and started to walk away.
"Wait!" Kevin called. "We were jerks we know that."
"We should have given Reggie and you a chance." Archie said.
"But we realize that you have always been there for us and we don't want to loose you." Veronica added.
"What if I want to loose you?" You asked.
"What do you mean." Betty asked confused.
"Honestly I don't I've ever been as comfortable with you guys as I have with Reggie and our friends." You confess letting out a sigh. "I don't have to walk on eggshells around the conversation."
"So what? Are you saying we aren't friends anymore?" Archie asked.
"...."

You were setting the table when all of a subbed arms wrapped around your shoulder.
"Stop I'm trying to set the table." You wined at Reggie.
"Yeah stop," his mom says backing you up. "And sweety you don't have to set the table your a guest." She said taking the utensils from you.
"Guest." Mr. Mantle scoffed. "She practically lives here." He said putting the plates on the table.
"And She is always welcome." Mrs. Mantel replied while squeezing your cheeks. "Now go in the kitchen and wash your hands dinner will be ready in 10." She said releasing your face and gently pushing you towards the kitchen.
You went to the kitchen and turned on the water, when a thought passed through your mind.
A small smile makes it way onto your face as your turned the water off and snuck towards the oven after swiping a fork from the drawer.
Mrs. Mantle was making her amazing baked spaghetti and for once you wanted to have the first taste that was always stolen by Reggie.
You quietly put your hand on the handle and slowly pull it open preparing for the waft of heat combined with the mouth watering aroma only to feel nothing.
Upon farther inspection you find limp spaghetti noodles covered in a layer of tomato sausage and unmelted cheese.
You waved your hand around in the oven feeling it the same room temperature as anywhere else in the house.
"Um Mrs. Mant- I mean Mom!" You called out.
"Yes munchkin." She twirling into the kitchen Mr. Mantel and Reggie following behind.
"Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't the oven be on?"You asked.
"Yep, your definitely mistaken, dinner will be ready in and hour and a half." She said rushing towards the oven quickly Turing the dial.
"You said 10 minuets." Reggie groaned.
"I also said I'd never have children but here we are, see you in an hour and a half." She said pushing us from the kitchen.
Reggie and I went back up to his room while Mr. Mantle retired to the family room to watch a football game.
"So you never told be how thing this your friends went or ex friends." He asked.
"Ok I guess. I mean an apology can only do so much, I've been with through a lot and trust be there has been a lot and I just don't think it was too much to ask for some support in my relationship." I explained. "I don't hate them but I don't think I can consider them friends... at least for the time being."
Reggie sighed and kissed the top of your head pulling you into his arms and flopping down on the bed.
"I get it, just know I'm always here for you no matter what." He said.
"You don't have to tell me that, you practically smother me nonstop I'd pay you to leave me alone." You joke.

Reggie thought the best way to wait for dinner to be ready was to 'work up an apatite' in his words.
After you respectfully declined his offer you ended up making out for an hour and half, until Mrs. Mantle called you both for dinner. Hopefully cooked this time.
You rush down stairs before Reggie still determined to get the first taste of spaghetti only to see Mr.Mantel about to shove it in his mouth.
"No no no please." You rushed out coming up to him and reaching for the fork. "I never get the first taste, please please just this once." You begged looking up at him at he held the fork far away from you.
Seeing as you weren't swaying him in the direction you needed him to go you looked up at him with widened eyes and a slight pout, you weren't sure if this would work on a man with only a son but it was worth a try.
Stomping your feet rapidly, you let out a small whimper and said the word that has brought grown men to their knees for years.
"Please Daddy."
You hear Reggie standing behind you choke on his own spit for your statement. But nothing could distant you from your current mission.
Poking your bottom lip out just a little more you give on more 'pained' whimper.
"Your no longer welcome in this home." He grumbled before handing over the fork.
You slowly put it in your mouth, tasting more than spaghetti but sweet victory, you close your eyes and savor the moment. "I'm okay with that." You said opening your eyes and taking your seat now to Reggie.
Looking around you at Mrs. Mantel kissing her husbands pout away as Reggie outwardly expresses his disapproval you realize that this is your family and you couldn't think of a better one (Besides your own) you would want to be with right now.
That even though it may be hard now and sacrifices had to be made you regret nothing.
