When we got back Lyndon held the golden egg in his hand and put it in his safe. I was wearing a clean suit now, reloaded my pistol and was ready for war. I also picked up my Mustang since the Lamborghini was destroyed. I didn't want a new one. It was parked next to Lyndon's cars he had stationed at his office. I stopped at Nicole's desk and smiled at her. I was attracted to her, something about her drew me to her. "Hey." I said.
"Hey." she said.
"I was wondering if you'd like to go out sometime?"
"Sure, you're the first guy to ask me out and bring me coffee. I can't say no to that."
"You looked like you needed it. When are you free?"
"I'm free now. Let's go out now."
"Where to?"
"Club."
"Let me finish business here, and I'll meet you out front in about ten minutes."
"Don't be late." She grabbed her purse and did a sex walk to the elevator and went down.
I went back to to Lyndon's office and sat down.
"Tomorrow, we gotta go pick up a flash drive holding an incriminating video that can harm a lawyer. He's willing to pay a lot of money for it. Again, millions. I'll see you here tomorrow around nine?"
"Yep, I'll be here." I walked out of his office and to my car. I got in my mustang and drove to the front to pick up Nicole. She changed wore a stunning black skirt. I was a sucker for a pretty face She got in the car and learned that she wanted to be a singer. College costed too much for her and she dropped out and followed her dream, and not getting hired. So She eventually found her way to LA and started working for Lyndon. She hasn't been in a serious relationship since college I was the first guy she saw interesting in a long time. I told her about Becky and how she shot Kevin. She felt sorry for me. While driving she leaned over and planted a soft kiss on my cheek.
"You should tell Lyndon to buy a door to his office, I hear everything and I know what he does, or did...or is doing..." she said.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I replied stupidly.
"He walked around parading the golden egg, and the next day it was on the news someone stole it. This isn't the first time this has happened. You don't have to hid stuff from me."
I gave her a quick glance and she was staring at me with a slight smile. I took no chances. I wasn't going to jail. I pulled over and pulled out my pistol. I waved it in her face so she could see it clearly. "Don't say a word." I grabbed her purse and emptied it in her lap. I searched her wallet, checked her phone, and took it apart. Next I searched her. I patted her down starting from the top then going down to her waist. I forced her up so I could check behind her.
"Oh," she gasped. "I usually don't do this on the first date." she joked around.
She was clean. I sat back and pointed the gun at her. "Are you a cop?" I asked.
"If I were would I tell you?" she darted back.
"Last chance. I'm a dangerous person, and if they put you up to this you were a fool. I don't get caught."
"Why is that?"
"Anyone who could tell on me, isn't around anymore."
"Why is that?"
I cocked the gun. "They disappeared."
She pushed everything on the floor and unzipped her dress and kicked it off. I swallowed hard and faced forward. "What? You don't want to see what you searched?" she said.
"I usually don't do this on the first date." I replied as I started the car.
At the club. The Bouncer knew me and didn't search me for a gun. Once we were inside her dress was so glamorous that all eyes were on her. She danced and I danced with her. Our bodies rocked with the music We never broke eye contact. Everyone was jumping and dancing to the fast paced music. But for us, time slowed down. We were in our own bubble. I held her hand and we swayed slowly in the middle of the dance floor. She leaned in and kissed me. Sparks flew around me. She felt that it was a mistake and pulled back. I pulled forward and tried to catch the moment. I did.
We left the club around midnight laughing and dancing to the car. She wanted me to show her what I did, what I do for a living. Believing in her I showed her. A couple of blocks away I parked near a gas station. Before we got out I got a text from Lyndon.
Lyndon: You up?...with Nicole?
Me: Yeah. What's up?
Instead of replying he called me. "Irish...I am going to kill Shark tomorrow. There is no stopping me. He just called me a few minutes ago saying they were moving to close the deal on buying my company tomorrow. I will not let that happen. "
"Hold on Lyndon, think about this. Think about the money you're putting on the line if you get caught."
"You know the feds are listening. What money? He's supposed to visit me at my office. I'll do then, with or without you."
I turned to face Nicole. She smiled at me and played with her hair. I hung up the phone and got out of the car. Nicole followed. went to the back of the car and grabbed two bandannas, one yellow, the other purple. I tossed her one and said "Put it on." She followed me in the gas station and I pulled out my gun and handed it to her. I leaned over her and pointed at the cashier.
"Point it at him." I said. She followed instructions. "Take aim, cock it." she did. "Put the money in a bag." I whispered.
"Put the money in a bag!" she shouted.
"Put it in a goddamn bag."
"Put it in a goddamn bag!"
The cashier loaded a plastic bag with money and handed it to me. "Anything else?" I asked her
"I want his shirt."
"Giver her your shirt." I said loud enough for him to hear me.
"And his pants and shoes."
"Give us everything you're wearing" The cashier took off all of his clothes except a watch, a gold chain and his boxers. He handed it to me and I took it and handed it to Nicole. She grabbed it while passing me the gun. We started to back out slowly. When we were by the door Nicole sprinted over grabbed a bottle of cheap wine then we ran out.
In the car I asked about his clothes. She didn't know why she wanted it. She enjoyed the power she had over him. I decided it was in my best interest to tell Nicole what was going on. She told me she'd play it cool at work and just wait until I got there.
