Ignazio's POV:

"No!" I raised my voice as I finished reading the paper I had been handed.

"Sir..."

"No! I will not accept this again!" I repeated myself.

"What's the matter here?" My mom came in and both Alonzo and myself bowed as she came in.

"Mamma.." I said but she put her hand in the air and shushed me.

"I heard you. Ignazio, my son, the decision has been made by me. I told Alonzo to come and show it to you before I got it stamped by your father. So why not this time?" Mamma said and I only sighed.

I cleared out my throat and breathed in slowly. "Mamma... Bella Mia... I'm not going to marry Princess Alice, she is not my type." I said sincerely.

"Ignazio, you've done this three times already and your father said that this will be your last chance to be the next king, otherwise your sister Nina will be the one to get married and we both know how that will end up." My mother reminded me.

I nodded in agreement, "I know, I know, but you told us since we were children to get married because of love not interest or need. Yet you come and shove 50 women to my face and in a week choose one?!" I was furious now.

"My son please understand your father and well the law too." Somehow I knew she was going to say that.

"Because my father is tired of being king and I'm the only male heir to fill up his throne. And because I am coming of age to be settled in with a wife so I can be crowned king after 2 years of marriage. Yeah I remember that like my favorite song lyrics mother." I replied.

Mother came to my side and caressed my cheek. "I love you very much my son but this is a must now. It's not a we want, it's a we need to." She kissed my cheek and smiled, "I'll leave that to you for the night, meditate on the decision."

"You know my decision, none of them. I mean come on! Why Princess Alice of Scotland? Have you not seen her teeth? It'll be a bad start of the day by just looking at those teeth, I can't imagine waking up to THAT!" I said and Alonzo wanted to laugh but covered his mouth and tried to put a serious face.

"Ignazio!? How could you?!"

"I'm sorry but it's true, what's so great about her?" I asked.

"She will be the perfect queen for this nation Ignazio, she passed all the tests we did to every one of them." She was starting to get insisting and caught herself in the act by just shushing herself. "What I can do is change her for Princess Katelyn. She is the one following her."

The answer just made it worse. I glared at Alonzo and Mamma noticed. "Just think about it over night alright. After breakfast we'll discuss this together privately. Meanwhile I will tell your father it is a very tired decision, and we might need more time to choose. What do you think?"

"What I think is still going to be useless... But you know what?... I will think about it. Now can I have my peaceful room back so I can sleep?" I said more annoyed than actually tired.

Mother just sighed and nodded. "Yes my dear. You rest. Tomorrow will be another day. Goodnight Ignazio." Mamma kissed my cheek once more and exit my room, Alonzo following her.

I looked at the paper in my hands and grunted as this was all useless and unfair. I just turned around and went to sit by my desk, there I threw the paper and put my hands on my face and elbows on the desk.

Suddenly a bright screen made me move my hands away from my face. I noticed a pending message so I moved closer to the desk and clicked on the icon.
