I took a walk so far away
I took a walk into the woods so deep
Deep where black rose and light was chased away
Deep where nightmares and darkness collide, and all hope was lost and ran away with the light, leaving you like everything else dark. Cold.
All hope lost
Lost, I try to see my steps. My thoughts
All hope gone, I get scared. I no longer wish to be alone.
I look left. Nobody. I look right. Nobody still.
What do I think? Nobody will ever find me so deep down.
I look ahead wondering where to go. I stay still.
I feel a warm hand brush my shoulder.
I see a shadow. A glowing shadow. I see him
He walked. I followed. He leads in silence. I followed in wonder.
He went out. Out of the woods. Into light. Out of darkness.
Frozen, I stand wondering where I am and if I should follow.
I trust the shadow that has lead me so far. I follow where he went. And I follow out. I want to thank him.
This shadow. This savior. But, he is gone, and I am home once again.
