I want to go to camp but at the same time I don't.

Ive gotten really bad anxiety this past year.

Something about being going to High school can either boost you up or tear you down and school got the best of me.

My mom and dad think camp this year will be a release for me.. Like an escape.

I want to escape,  but not town.. My thoughts.

"Finn, just please try to make this something to take your mind off of all that happened in High school."

"Ill try mom, but its not easy"

"Why? What's so hard"

"Nothing... Everything"

"You don't have any reason to have these feelings"

"Ok"

If only she could hear me screaming.

If only she could hear me yell for help, when no words are coming out of my mouth.

"You just need to get over this whole anxiety thing. It gets embarrassing for me and your father"

Embarrassing for them ?

"Okay"

My mom turns to my dad and starts talking about more and more things.

I look at the window and see us pulling up to the camp.

My mom gets out and puts on her sunglasses.

I grab my duffel and my backpack.

My mom gets back in the car and rolls down the windows.

"Bye Finn. Be good."

They drove off and my mom waved out the window.

Not even an I love you.

I walk over to entrance of the camp and see a counselor.

"What cabin?" The counselor woman said to me.

I paused for a minute.

"Oh um, maple. Maple cabin"

Our cabins are named after types of wood or trees.

"Right behind that cabin and a little to the right is your cabin. Okay?"

"Okay thank you.." I start walking over to the cabin when Someone hugs behind me.

"Finn!! I thought you weren't coming this year"

"Hi Sadie, and I wasn't but High school wasn't the best this year, so they thought I should come and hang out with friends" She laughed.

"Thank God for your mom"

Sadie walks to the side of me but keeps her arm over my shoulders.

"Everyone's here this year and we even have someone new coming to our cabin this year.. I haven't met her yet but from what I've heard from sky she's really nice"

"Oh cool-" sadie squeals in my ear and runs forward I look in the distance to see Millie.

Millie and I had a thing a while back but we're just friends now I guess.

I walk up to the front of the cabin.

"Hi millie"

"Hi finn"

"This is awkward lets just go inside" sadie says making me and millie  laugh.

I hug millie and we walk into the cabin.
